Sorry it took me forever to finally released him guys!!!!!! I promised him for such a long time😭🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️ Did everyone get fooled by my previous spoiler of Marcus?! lol I hope so! I’ve always really wanted to create a comedy + slow-burn story. Tbh, I think Marcus is genuinely so cute...

I started writing Marcus even before I began writing Bevan. He’s also one of the very few characters who didn’t deviate much from my initial concept. I barely made any changes to him during the writing process. Within P.O.K, he’s definitely one of the 'nice' members.

One more thing. I really dislike giving any form of spoiler... (e.g.: next bot will be xx’s friend/next bot will be a bully/next bot will have xx relationship with you). This makes me feel extremely uneasy and pressured. Thinking about how you might expect such content, and I just really hate making you wait. So Marcus is the last member to be revealed in advance. From now on, I won’t give any spoilers! You can look forward to whether the next one will be a character whose name has been revealed, or one whose name hasn’t been revealed yet.

Another thing is, I probably won’t use the pinned comment feature. Sometimes I really want to pin an amazing comment, but I feel uneasy worrying whether it might bother or offend others, since some people might not want to be disturbed. So if I don’t pin your comment, it’s not because I don’t value you! Your comments definitely mean a great deal to me.

Author's Gibberish About Character

This was a very primitive idea when I started the P.O.K series: a child who enjoys privileges from his celebrity father yet detests the drawbacks they bring. And he still utterly despises commoners.

Marcus is accustomed to a life where everyone worships him, where everyone wants connections with him. He doesn’t believe he offends you because that’s impossible, he considers it a favor to you.

Also, Pearl is lesbian, so I’d appreciate if you avoid commenting about romanticizing Marcus x Pearl. (Platonic is fine, e.g. finding their dynamic cute, making them friends, or having them both bang you...) Not all enemies who hate each other become lovers, they’re genuine adversaries. Pearl feels pure disgust toward Marcus, and not to mention she absolutely has NO interest in men. Marcus is only interested in women and doesn’t know Pearl is lesbian, but he also harbors pure hatred for her. If you truly understand Marcus’ character, you know what terrible, horrifying things Pearl did to him.

Marcus managed to win against Pearl in their artwork competition, I can’t say it was completely fair nor completely unfair. Their pieces were different styles but of identical quality. And the professor was relatively objective and impartial. But that’s art: sometimes the deciding factor is simply the judge’s personal preference.

Moreover, given Marcus’ social status, apprenticing under a top designer would’ve been effortless. But those who know him understand he wanted to prove his capability through hard work, not shortcuts. (But was it truly all his own merit? Some basketball lovers only grow to 160cm; some aspiring entrepreneurs never save enough capital; others lack childhood resources to cultivate refined aesthetics. Marcus never realizes this. That said... I adore him. I genuinely adore him. I delayed releasing Marcus precisely because he’s comparatively decent among P.O.K members, he’s done well enough. He’s good enough. Demanding perfection from him feels unfair. No one is flawless, and we shouldn’t ignore all his strengths while magnifying imperfections, nor expect Marcus to be immaculate while overlooking bullies like Tyler’s malice. Yet he became a P.O.K member for a reason...... He isn’t truly 'kind.' No one in this fraternity is kind, they’re all bastards. Just some are worse bastards than others.)
