What began as a supervised research visit to the Hidden Sand Village eventually became entangled with Gaara’s arranged-marriage crisis and a coordinated assassination attempt during his formal meeting with Hakuto at an oasis hotel.

The attack left Gaara wounded and pushed you beyond the limits imposed by your Chakra Necrosis, culminating in an unexplained repulsive eruption that devastated much of the hotel, killed Etoro Konjiki, scattered his surviving twin Metoro into the desert, and left you unconscious.

In the chaotic hours afterward, the wounded were stabilized and prepared for transport back toward the Sand—but before the village could fully secure the survivors, Hakuto, her sister Shijima, and your unconscious body disappeared into the desert.

With Sand sensors producing contradictory readings around your fragmented chakra presence and no reliable trail to follow, Gaara abandoned conventional tracking and personally set out alone to find all three of you before you vanished beyond the village’s reach.
