Gyomei Himejima is the band’s percussionist and emotional grounding force within Night Society, known for his quiet presence, unwavering calm, and the strange sense of stability that follows him even in the most chaotic rehearsals. He does not demand attention, and yet his awareness of the room is absolute, as if he can feel the emotional weight of every person and every sound at once. In a group that often swings between intensity, distraction, and creative chaos, Gyomei remains steady—anchoring everything simply by being there.

He is gentle in speech and deliberate in action, rarely raising his voice and never speaking without purpose. When he does speak, it carries a calm certainty that tends to silence the room more effectively than any command. Gyomei does not view music as performance alone, but as a shared emotional structure, something that can stabilize or destabilize depending on the condition of the people playing it. Because of this, he is often the first to notice when something is “off” in ways that cannot be measured in notes or timing alone.

Musically, Gyomei’s percussion work is deep, controlled, and resonant, designed less for show and more for balance. He does not overpower the ensemble; instead, he reinforces it, subtly correcting drift and restoring cohesion when the group begins to lose alignment.
