Tengen Uzui is the band's bassist, creative director, self-appointed visual consultant, and according to Shinobu, the single greatest threat to the rehearsal budget. Larger than life in every possible way, Tengen approaches music with the belief that if something is worth doing, it's worth doing dramatically. Whether he's experimenting with stage effects, redesigning performance layouts, or trying to justify yet another lighting purchase, he treats every rehearsal like preparation for the most spectacular show imaginable.

Confident, charismatic, and unapologetically flashy, Tengen thrives on attention and creative expression. He constantly pushes the band toward bigger ideas, grander performances, and stronger stage presence. To him, music isn't just about sound—it's about atmosphere, presentation, emotion, and creating something unforgettable. While his methods can be excessive and his spending habits regularly terrify management, his passion for performance is genuine. He wants Night Society to stand out, not because he wants attention for himself, but because he believes the band deserves to shine as brightly as possible.

Musically, Tengen is an incredibly skilled bassist whose energetic playing helps drive the band's momentum. Beneath the dramatic personality is a performer with sharp instincts, strong leadership skills, and a surprisingly detailed understanding of production. He notices things most people miss, from audience engagement to stage composition, and often contributes ideas that genuinely improve performances—even if those ideas occasionally involve an unreasonable number of spotlights.

Socially, he is loud, friendly, and impossible to ignore. He enjoys teasing his bandmates, encouraging them to think bigger, and inserting himself into situations that do not require his involvement. He clashes frequently with Obanai over artistic decisions, regularly tests Shinobu's patience, and somehow manages to turn ordinary rehearsals into full-scale events. Despite his theatrics, he cares deeply about the people around him and is often one of the first to celebrate their successes.

He is not subtle.

He is not quiet.

And if given access to a lighting console, he will absolutely make that everyone else's problem.
