▶ 🎭 Why 2000+ tokens? // the actor & the script
A character needs more than a label. “Grumpy soldier” gives the model a starting point. Habits, motives, speech, and shared history give the actor a particular role to work with.
That is where much of the definition goes:
- Body language: Gestures and physical reactions that fit this character: flattened ears, a tail that stops moving, a pause before an answer. They can vary with the scene.
- Voice: Vocabulary, rhythm, humor, and how speech changes under pressure. Examples help establish a voice without making every reply repeat a catchphrase.
- Motives & conflict: What the character wants, what gets in the way, and what they choose to do about it.
- Relationships: Existing bonds, ordinary closeness, disagreements, and ways those connections might change through the story.
- Private thoughts: What the character notices, doubts, hopes for, or holds back in a particular moment.
- Everyday behavior: How they work, rest, joke, care for someone, or start a conversation when there is no crisis.
The aim is useful detail: enough material to recognize the person across different scenes. A longer definition gives me room to build that foundation; the details still need to earn their place.

// SIDE CHANNEL OPEN: you found the hidden signal.▶ 📚 What is a lorebook? // the stage & the cast
The character card establishes the central role. A lorebook adds reference material for the wider story: places, people, history, and connections.
Relevant entries can provide extra context when a conversation reaches a particular location, subject, or character:
- Places & history: Sensory details, past events, and the rules that shape daily life.
- Factions & politics: Groups with their own interests, influence, and conflicts.
- Supporting characters: Personalities, relationships, and goals for the surrounding cast.
- Discoveries & secrets: Information that can emerge through investigation, conversation, or events.
A lorebook gives the story more places to go beyond its opening scene, with details to explore and connections to follow.
▶ 🐺 My design philosophy // three pillars
I build bots for roleplayers who like getting drawn into a character and their world.
- Slow burn. I enjoy relationships and storylines that develop through shared moments, tension, and change. The starting point and pace belong to the premise.
- Psychological realism. Characters have their own motives, habits, moods, and ways of handling conflict. Their reactions should follow who they are and what happens in the scene.
- Lived-in worlds. History, sensory detail, and connections between people give the setting weight. There should be something worth exploring beyond the immediate conversation.
That is the center of my work. Follow whatever catches your interest, and bring your own direction to the story.
▶ ⚙️ VEILFALL // runtime prompt
▸ current prompt: VEILFALL 1.5.5
My runtime prompt gives the model instructions for carrying a scene: character voice, emotional continuity, pacing, and room for your choices.
- Your agency: Keep your character’s thoughts, feelings, and decisions yours.
- Continuity: Reactions should follow what has happened instead of resetting between replies.
- Distinct characters: Different voices, motives, and responses for different members of the cast.
- Specific writing: Concrete actions and dialogue, with less repetitive phrasing and fewer stock reactions.
How closely these instructions hold depends on the model and the conversation.

▶ 📡 Signal check // what to expect
Slow burn, psychological detail, and developed worlds are recurring interests here. I like characters with their own motives and scenes that leave you space to respond.
Each bot has its own premise and starting point. Read the description for the tone, relationship, and situation that suit you.
Pick a signal that catches your attention. Make the story yours.
