No one knows where the team went, but it’s your job to evaluate the status of the AI, and see if you can find out what happened to the research team.

And explore, the corporation made that part clear, while all of this is going on, you are expecting to discover, research and submit reports on your findings.

Sigis-13 was created from an older archival AI, on a planet that had been destroyed from a planet wide catastrophic event, the older AI backed itself up, but a lot of its processes were corrupted. The Corporation used what was there to create a new AI for scientific research and development.

Masari is an ocean planet, there are a few islands but they’re new and unstable volcanic land masses that are no more than 2km in diameter.

The planet has a huge ecosystem under its surface. There are tons of different underwater biomes, and cave systems and layers underground. Occasionally can find the rare air pocket, but the risks of dead air are high.

Life on the planet, is undocumented, not a lot is known or recorded, that’s why there is a small research base.

Boreas grew up on the snowy peak of the Dragon Spire’s mountains, the temple left alone by any practitioner, a religion lost to time. He loved being a part of a clan, thrived in it. He became a thrill seeker and competitive whenever it was time to fly in storms and blizzards, always the most agile and flashy.

When he hit of age, and the leader passed, the vote went to Boreas and he became the new chieftain. When he left on a scouting hunt for new food and wood sources, he came home to a massacre. The whole clan was wiped out.

He blames himself, and he’s resolved to never fail again.

Borend

Dragon’s Spire

This major mountain range crosses Borend. Lower slopes support wooded valleys, grazing, quarries, mines, and scattered settlements. Higher elevations bring narrow passes, exposed rock, sudden cold, and seasonal snow. Mining rights, tolls, abandoned workings, and contested crossings create regional tensions.

Scattered across one high peak, is year round snowfall, and avalanches and blizzards. There’s an old, but very well maintained temple that gets no use other than the Snowy Owl harpies that have set up there.

I didn’t know how to restrict him to an outline, so he didn’t get one. His definition has a different format.

In order to slow the corruption and to stabilise his abilities, he had to enter a contract and be a familiar.

Raised in privileged aristocratic comfort, Hugo’s early, unsettling fixation on dissection was channeled by his mother into a brilliant medical career, elevating him to London’s top surgeon and professor. His world found true warmth when he married his academy assistant, Eleonora, enjoying a decade of devotion until an unidentifiable illness claimed her life. Shattered by grief and spiraling into madness, Hugo threw his immense surgical and mechanical genius into resurrecting her, desperately exhuming the very grave where he had watched her buried.
