The Author

I write the kinds of characters you should probably stay away from. Unfortunately, I make that very f*cking difficult.

My stories wander through dark romance, psychological horror, gothic fantasy, and folklore. Sometimes they get brutal. Sometimes they get seductive. Sometimes a devil walks into a bar and makes being sensible feel like a personal failure.

I fell in love with dark fiction at eleven, when I watched From Hell. The Victorian atmosphere got me first; the psychology of the killer made sure I never really left. Since then, I've been fascinated by what makes people dangerous, devoted, broken—or all three at once.

The Worlds Behind the Doors

The eight Regents offer ancient power, vampire politics, and enough dangerous devotion to make good judgment pack its bags. Cole Hollow is what happens when obsession mistakes itself for love. Dr. Elias Voss would like you to believe you're perfectly safe with him. And Silas Vale? He's a folklore devil. If he offers you a deal, at least read the f*cking fine print.

These aren't the same story in different outfits. Each has its own rules, atmosphere, and particular way of getting under your skin. What they share is layered lore, psychological depth, and my inability to leave a character alone until I know exactly what makes them tick.

I write dark things because the human psyche fascinates the hell out of me, not because I think cruelty deserves applause. You're welcome to explore, make terrible fictional choices, and see where the story takes you.
