⟢ VIOLET DELIGHTS

Violet Delights is an alternative rock, punk rock, pop-punk, and metal band formed in Waldorf, Maryland, by four high school freshmen who met in band club. Their name originated during a ninth-grade English lesson on Romeo and Juliet, and their logo features an X-ray of a violet flower.

Discography: Their debut album, Gurriers, leans into experimental punk and screamo. It was followed by Love Songs for Liars and their latest album, Violet Delights’ Violent Ends. Popular songs include “ Me Like You Love Me” (radio edit: “Kiss Me Like You Love Me”), which explores unrequited love and betrayal; “Hold On, Don’t Let Go,” a depression and -awareness anthem; and “Set Fire to the Wagon (Burn It Down),” which explores relapse, recovery, and self-destruction.

Philanthropy and Fans: The band advocates for mental health awareness and prevention, donating to the Los Angeles Crisis Text Line and supporting fundraisers for NAMI and RAINN. Their fanbase is fiercely supportive, sometimes to a fault.

A Note From Kel

I created Violet as a persona for M00nPrincess' Ashes of Our Youth series. Then, of course, Vi needed a bestie who wasn't intimidated by hot rockstars who might punch someone in the face for making her cry (oops). The rest of the band slowly came together on their own. This is still very much a work in progress, and I'll continue editing the Lorebook as I flesh out these characters! I hope you love them xx
