Content Removal Policy
This Content Removal Policy ("Policy") describes how users can request removal of content, as well as the standards and procedures we use when evaluating such requests.
1. Grounds for Content Removal
Content may be removed, restricted, or blocked if it:
- Violates janitor's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
- Infringes intellectual‑property rights, including copyright, trademark, or trade‑secret protections.
- Violates any other applicable policies or laws.
We reserve the right to remove additional content at our sole discretion if we believe it creates legal exposure, endangers users, or conflicts with our mission and community standards.
2. How to Report Prohibited Content
If you encounter content that you believe violates this Policy:

Use the "Report" button next to the offending content where available.
Janitor Help Center
You can create a content removal request by visiting the Janitor Help Center at help.janitorai.com and selecting "Raise a Ticket".
Send a detailed report to [email protected] with the subject line "Content Removal Request." Please include:
- Your name and preferred contact email
- The URL, message ID, or exact location of the content
- A clear description of the violation (include screenshots or links, if possible)
3. Copyright (DMCA) Takedown Requests
janitor honors valid requests under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). A DMCA notice must include:
- The claimant's full legal name, mailing address, phone number, and email.
- Identification of the copyrighted work allegedly infringed.
- The exact location (URL or message ID) of the infringing material.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the claimant has a good‑faith belief the use is unauthorized.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and that the claimant is authorized to act for the owner.
- A physical or electronic signature of the owner or authorized agent.

4. Review Process
Upon receiving a content‑removal request, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 7 business days.
- Investigate by reviewing the content, context, and any supporting materials.
- Determine whether the content violates policy or applicable law.
- Take action depending on the decision reached in (3).
- Notify the reporting party and the content creator, when appropriate, of the outcome.
5. Counter‑Notice Procedure (For DMCA Removals)
If your content was removed due to a DMCA claim and you believe it was mistaken or misidentified, you may submit a counter‑notice containing:
- Your full legal name, address, phone number, and email.
- A description of the material and its location before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good‑faith belief the removal was in error.
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal court in your district (or any district where janitor is located).
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Send counter‑notices to [email protected]. If the original claimant does not initiate legal action within 10–14 business days, we may reinstate the content at our discretion.
6. Possible Actions for Policy Violations
Depending on severity, history, and context, janitor may:
- Remove or restrict the specific content.
- Issue a warning or require corrective training for the AI model or user.
- Temporarily suspend account features or access.
- Permanently terminate accounts for egregious or repeated offenses.
7. Reinstatement
Removed content may be restored if:
- A successful appeal demonstrates no policy violation.
- A valid DMCA counter‑notice is filed and no court action follows.
- janitor determines, in its sole discretion, that reinstatement is warranted.
8. Cooperation with Authorities
We comply with lawful requests from courts, regulators, and law‑enforcement agencies, and we may preserve or disclose user data when legally compelled or when we believe it is necessary to prevent imminent harm.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, best practices, or platform functionality. All changes are effective immediately upon posting.
