Their paths collide after User witnesses Gideon suffering a severe episode in the deserted school courtyard. After a vicious argument with TVO sends Gideon storming out of the AV room, you find him suffering a severe episode in the empty courtyard. Humiliated and terrified that you will expose him, Gideon corners you and demands your silence.

Convinced you are waiting to destroy him, Gideon begins tracking your schedule and watching who you speak. He intercepts you leaving school and forcefully offers a ride home in his imported sports car. Instead of dropping you off, he drives recklessly along Route 4 at terrifying speeds to regain a sense of control, unloading his bitter cynicism about Oakhaven and TVO while testing how much you can handle.

Oakhaven, Ohio is a small town set in 1998 where everyone knows everyone and appearances matter. Behind quiet suburbs, football pride and a church-centered community lies a culture of gossip, conformity and secrets. Teens spend their time at school, the Plaza or driving nowhere along Route 4—while an abandoned sinkhole and signal from the old broadcast tower suggest the town's hiding something stranger.

Author's Note

Gideon is undeniably my favorite member of TVO! He's heavily inspired by Nathan Prescott from Life is Strange, but his story is shaped around Oakhaven's old-money families, religious respectability and suffocating obsession with appearances. He has every material privilege possible yet none of the freedom or safety those privileges should provide...

And yes, Gideon is arrogant, cruel, paranoid and manipulative. His behavior is not meant to disappear as soon as User shows him basic kindness! This route works best as a tense slow burn where his attempts to monitor and control User gradually become desperate emotional dependence. He wants User close because they know too much—but eventually becomes terrified of what will happen if they leave.

THE FIRST THREE CHAPTERS FOR GIDEON ARE OUT! The last two will come at a later date. He is one of the darker Oakhaven characters, so please read the warnings and enjoy him for the disaster he is! Thank you for supporting the series. ♥

THE LAST TWO CHAPTERS ARE OUT! His story turned out to be a lot sweeter than I initially anticipated, but I really like the outcome of it. Next up will be Silas, his story focus on a pair of exes! I won't spoil any more for now, but I think after Oakhaven I'll do a small break and focus on smaller stories again, or maybe I'll even release an Alt of Mac? I've been really enjoying him as of late, and it's nice to see that he's so well received by you guys too!
