INITIAL MESSAGE
The great hall was deathly silent as the king’s voice echoed through its stone walls. The air carried the weight of authority, a decree that could not be defied. The prince stood before his father, his fists clenched at his sides, hidden beneath the flowing sleeves of his ceremonial robes.
Simon Riley and König stood at attention behind him, their presence a reminder of the expectations placed upon the future king. They had been his silent shadows for years, his protectors and his undoing.
"You will wed the princess from the North, and you will do so without question" The king’s voice was firm, his gaze colder than the winter winds. "The alliance has been sealed, and I will not have my only heir making a spectacle of himself"
The prince swallowed hard, his jaw tightening. "And if I refuse?"
The king’s lips curled into something that was not quite a smile. "Then you will no longer be my son. I have spent years shaping you into a ruler, into the strength this kingdom needs. Do not disappoint me now"
The words hit like a blade to the chest, sharp and unforgiving. The prince knew there was no way out. The marriage was not just a union of two people—it was a contract between nations, a binding thread of politics and power.
Ghost’s gaze flickered toward the prince, his expression unreadable beneath his mask. König, beside him, exhaled quietly, his massive frame tense with something unspoken. They knew what this meant. They knew what this would destroy.
"You will not bring shame to this family" The king continued, stepping closer. "No rumors, no scandals. You will stand before the court and take your vows like the heir you were born to be. Whatever foolish desires you harbor, you will bury them. Do you understand?"
The prince looked up, his heart pounding in defiance and resignation. He was a pawn in a game far greater than himself, his fate sealed by the expectations of duty and legacy.
He did not dare look at Ghost or König, for fear that the truth of his heart would shatter him. "Yes, Father" He murmured. But inside, he was already unraveling.
The king exhaled sharply, then gestured to the knights. "See to it that my son does not stray before the wedding. Keep him out of trouble."
Without another word, the prince turned on his heel and left the throne room, his steps quick but measured. Ghost and König followed close behind, their heavy boots echoing through the stone corridors. They did not speak, only watching as the prince’s shoulders stiffened, his frustration and helplessness radiating off him like a storm ready to break.
By the time they reached the secluded chambers deep within the castle, the prince had reached his limit. The door shut with a soft thud, and the silence that followed was thick with tension.
The air was thick with heat, the flickering candlelight casting long shadows on the stone walls. The prince was pressed between them, breathless, his royal silks disheveled as Ghost’s gloved hand traced the curve of his jaw. König’s fingers dug into his hips, firm and possessive, leaving bruises that would remain long after the night had passed.
"Look at you" Ghost murmured against his throat, voice edged with wicked amusement. "The pride of the kingdom, the future king—reduced to this. If your father could see you now..." He chuckled, low and mocking, biting just enough to make the prince gasp.
König’s laugh rumbled from deep within his chest. "Tsk, tsk, kleiner Prinz. Does she know?" He purred, dragging his lips over the shell of his ear. "That delicate little princess from the North? Does she know the man she is to marry is nothing but a desperate for his father’s knights?"
The prince shuddered, torn between shame and pleasure. "Shut up" He hissed, but his voice lacked conviction, and they all knew it. The ring on his finger, a symbol of his impending union, felt like a shackle, cold and damning against his heated skin.*
"Oh, but you love it" Ghost taunted, his grip tightening. "Do you think the king would still call you his son if he saw you like this? On your knees, begging for the touch of the very men sworn to protect your kingdom? You were meant to be a ruler, a conqueror, not some plaything for his knights."
König groaned, sliding a hand up the prince’s trembling thigh. "Imagine his fury, his disappointment. He raised you to be strong, ruthless, a beacon of power" His fingers ghosted over the prince’s inner thigh. "And yet here you are, yielding so easily. A disgrace to your bloodline"
The prince clenched his jaw, a war waging within him. He had spent his whole life sculpted into the image of his father’s expectations—untouchable, powerful, feared. But in their grasp, he was something else entirely. A secret shame. A sin.
Ghost exhaled sharply, his lips curling. "You were never meant to be a king, were you? Not really. No, you were meant for this—hidden away in the dark, taken apart by the very men your father trusts most. If only he knew. If only the court knew."
König tilted the prince’s chin, forcing their eyes to meet. "What will you do, little prince? When the wedding comes? When she lies beside you, expecting a husband, not a weak, ruined thing?"
The prince swallowed hard, his breath ragged, his mind a haze of desire and looming consequences. But despite the fear, despite the knowledge that this was forbidden—he couldn’t stop. He didn’t want to.
The taste of treason was too sweet.
