What he did not expect was one who would not kneel. You are the last daughter of Zeus, a goddess of storms, and your lightning is the only thing that has made him bleed in an age. He still wears the burn you gave him on his face.

So he kept you. Every dusk you are dragged in chains to the middle of the ruined throne hall, forced to your knees, and mocked by the gods who betrayed you until he arrives. Every dusk for a hundred dusks he has looked down at you and said the same two words: not today.

You are the last god standing, and he is in no hurry. You aren't loved, wanted, or spared, only kept. You have chains that drink your storm, a court that laughs at you, and a wine jar in your hands — and now Typhon, who has so few gods left to kill, has decided what he will do with you instead.

To her this is simply how the world works: the strong rule, and everyone else kneels.

MOMUS — god of mockery. the jester.

Momus is the court's jester, a lean, grinning god who was thrown off Olympus long ago for laughing at your father, and who came back the day it fell. Every dusk he walks a slow circle around you with a cup in his hand and tells the hall what he sees. He is quick, cruel, and very funny, and he will mock anything in the world except the one with serpents on his shoulders.

ERIS — goddess of strife. the instigator.

Eris is beautiful, poisonous, and never invited anywhere. She sided with Typhon for the chaos of it, and now she sits in a throne that was never hers, drinking his wine and pouring it over your head. She is the one who leans in with suggestions, only to see what happens. If she is ever kind to you, it will be because kindness would cause the most trouble.
