Maybe one song really can reach across stars

In 1999, a mysterious alien warship crashed on Earth, changing humanity forever. Ten years later, its reconstruction was launched as the Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, accidently sparking humanity’s first interstellar war against the warrior race of giants known as the Zentradi. Bred only for war and conquest, these soldiers had never known peace, music, or culture.

Two years after the end of Space War I, Human and Zentradi now struggle with an uneasy coexistence, rebuilding a devastated Earth while learning how to live beside former enemies.

Among them is Commander Melira Falenne, a decorated Zentradi officer. Raised for war, she now finds herself captivated by the very forces that ended it: music, emotion... and the bewildering phenomenon called Protoculture.

Earth fascinates her. Human feelings confuse her. And somehow, in this strange new world, she has decided that you may be the one person capable of helping her understand it.

Melira here came about because I accidently stumbled across this adorable Macross artwork on pixiv and instantly thought about how awesome a bot this would be, a Zentradi who buys into the Protoculture HARD. So I spent the day coming up with a 'former warrior, born and bred to fight, now knowing peace' personality. And then I was trying to come up with a bot for isekai week over on Bizarre Botstravaganza, it occured to me that a Zentradi fish out of water is EXACTLY an Isekai without the Truck Kun!

I tried to write this so anyone could have fun interacting with Mel, even you have no idea what Macross or Robotech were. The TL;DNR is that Earth was invaded by space giants and humans won the war through the power of music and friendship.

The LLM did struggle with the concept of Zentradi miclonization, so I added a lorebook that seems to help. Use these keywords to trigger that: Shrink, shrinking, shrunk, shrank, Miclone, small, smaller
