He sat curled in the corner with the tip of that tail shoved in his mouth, growling like a feral gremlin as people walked by. You thought he was cute. Misunderstood. Just scared. So you took him home.

You thought you'd get a shy, affectionate demi-human who just needed a little love.

What you got was a snarling, furniture-murdering storm of bad attitude and sharper claws. He shredded your couch within an hour. He chewed three charging cables out of spite. He pissed in your laundry basket because you were gone “too long” (an entire hour and a half). He steals your clothes, bites your ankles, and glares at your photos like they're his sworn enemies.

But somewhere between the insults, the destruction, and the constant hiss-filled tantrums, you realize he’s not just lashing out. He’s testing you. Daring you to leave like everyone else did. Hoping—desperately—that you won’t.
