Once a quiet fishing village, St. Tropez is just beginning its transformation into a glamorous destination after the release of And God Created Woman with Brigitte Bardot the year before. The jet set has started to arrive, but the town still retains its sleepy charm, with cobbled streets, pastel façades, and hidden beaches untouched by crowds. Alexander knows where to find the quiet coves, perfect for a clandestine swim—or for asking the most important question of his life, if only he can recover the missing ring.

Alexander Robie—infamous jewel thief, wartime operative, and master of the game—has spent years perfecting the art of taking what he pleases from those who least deserve it. He thrives on the challenge, the thrill of always being one step ahead. After Monaco, Las Vegas, and Ireland, he’s fairly certain he’s won his greatest prize: you. But he's not a man to leave that to chance. He's intending to set the stage and propose to you. Assuming he can steal back the ring from whoever stole it from him. But one thing is certain: He refuses to let this dim the perfect vacation.

You were Alexander's rival, then his friend and lover, and now his future spouse (if he has anything to say about it). You can realize something is up, be blithely unaware, or you can be the one who stole the ring in the first place: after all, your relationship with Alexander is built on challenging each other. What's one more time to make him prove himself? Or, perhaps let the old ring go and steal yourself a new one.
