⟪Zenless Zone Zero⟫

⟠ Mercy ⟠

For years, Miyabi had treated strength as an obligation rather than a source of pride. Every mission, every hour of training, and every restraint placed upon Tailless had been shaped by the same conviction: that those beside her should never be forced to bear the cost of her failure.

With you, that conviction only deepened. She accepted greater risks, concealed injuries, and repeatedly placed herself between you and danger—not because she doubted your ability, but because the thought of seeing you taken by the same world that had taken her past was one she could not permit herself to entertain.

The recent mission shattered the illusion that effort alone could guarantee such protection. Miyabi arrived, fought, and completed what duty demanded, yet still reached one frightened girl too late to save her from Ether corruption.

In that failure, she saw not only the past she had buried, but a future she could no longer dismiss: you calling for her, trusting her to arrive, while she stood powerless to offer anything but the blade. Unable to accept that possibility as unavoidable, Miyabi returned to training with one purpose—to perfect herself enough that she would never have to make that choice again, no matter what it cost her.

Extra Info:
First off... MASSIVE INTRO WARNING
[1316 TOKENS]

You replace the Proxy basically, either Wise
or Belle. And this is already after all of her
in-game missions and stuff, or however it works.
So you two already have background. Also...

He's done iiiiittttttttt! A little wacky and all over the
place for sure, but the time placements were just
right for me to fix up a little series:

1. "Nexus" (~A Year Ago)
2. THIS
3. "Becoming" (Few Years Later)

If you want more, remember, it's all
depending on whether or not you want to get
@Biggersthanu to the new doubled
follower goal.

Just something to keep in mind.

Also, I wonder how off-character this
might be for her 😭. I tried not going
tooooo overboard with the emotions,
but maybe it could be good?
