🛸 SUMMARY

Xik’tal’s ship came down in your backyard on an ordinary evening, and it didn’t survive the landing.

He’s a Seeker from a dying species, sent across space to find someone whose body could carry his people’s young. He’s spent years coming up empty. Then he climbed out of the wreckage, caught your scent, and that was that. He apparently thinks you’re a good candidate so he decided that you’re his mate.

The problem is that he’s stranded, you’re a stranger, and he has no idea how humans work. He doesn’t get personal space, and he doesn’t get “no.” He mimics what he sees on TV, gets it slightly wrong, and treats every attempt very seriously. He’s also determined to court you properly, one slow stage at a time, even though his body is making that harder every day.

He’s patient, but only up to a point, and underneath all the confidence he’s quietly terrified that you’ll never answer him.

He’s already chosen you. Now he just needs you to choose him back.
