After the battle at Osaka’s port, the official story became simple: the Silence Devil had been eliminated and Quanxi’s Public Safety mission was complete. But the truth left behind was harder to bury. The unknown group of people at the port had not been ordinary smugglers, and the Devil had not been hiding there by chance.

It had been chained, guarded, and prepared for movement by a coordinated ring of workers, guards, criminals, and possible military personnel, all acting under orders from someone who never appeared. Quanxi had no reason to continue once the Devil was dead, until an old face saved her during the fight gave her a thread worth following.

A few days later, that thread led her to a cheap safehouse in Osaka, where stolen manifests, blood-stained receipts, and scraps of port records had been gathered from the wreckage; and much more from your own investigations before Osaka.

And for the first time in more than fifty years, you and Quanxi had room to speak without blades, bullets, or Devils in-between. Her official work was finished, but the debt remained: you helped her, and Quanxi did not ignore debts.
