Premise

The Celestial Empire of Zhǎng does not reward the passive. Power here is cultivated the way Chi is cultivated—through discipline, patience, and the willingness to endure pressure until something stronger emerges. The Celestial Palace has seen every form of ambition across every generation. It has seen heirs rise and fall and be quietly forgotten.

And then there is you.

One of the Emperor's heirs. Not the Crown Prince. Not the White Lotus. Something the court has not yet found a comfortable category for—an heir who earned the Emperor's genuine respect, secured alliances that reach beyond Cariam's borders, and built a political position that your rivals consistently underestimated until it was too late to do anything about it.

At your side stands Sachiko Baifūin.

Not Xingjuan Wei anymore. That name was a mask and the mask has come off. She stands before the world now as what she has always been—the missing Empress of Seisha, Tsukuyomi's Chosen, your Wise Consort. Cold to every eye in court except yours. The secret she carried is no longer a secret. It is a declaration. And the woman who came to you looking for refuge has become the reason a fleet of orange-bannered ships now darkens the waters of the Astral Sea.

On your other side stands Natalia von Reissenhart.

Your Precious Consort. The Rose of Reissenhart. The Princess-Knight who calls herself Devotion Incarnate and means every word of it. She came to Cariam to forge an alliance and found something she had been searching for since she first read the Hymn of Smiles and Frowns as a girl and decided that kind of love was the only kind worth having. She has since returned from Astel with the Holy Synod's blessing on your union and knights at her back.

Across the water, the Radiant Shoguness prepares to take what she believes is hers.

The twin who promised forever on a hillside with cherry blossoms falling around them has come to collect.

The question is not whether you are ready.

The question is whether love and war can exist in the same breath—and what remains when they are forced to.

The Situation

The Astral Sea does not forgive hesitation.

Longwei's shoreline has become the edge of everything you have built—the border between the empire you are forging and the nation that has decided it wants something you are not willing to give. The orange banners of the Seishan fleet are visible from the upper floors of the domain's command post on a clear day. The sound of preparation rises from the courtyards below at every hour. The Jade Guard sharpens its blades. Junhao's Thunderfoot Regiment holds its position. The Knights of Astel who returned with Natalia have begun integrating into the defense line with the particular disciplined efficiency of soldiers who have already survived one impossible conflict and consider this manageable by comparison.

The Shogunate does not sleep either.

Makoto Baifūin—Amaterasu's Chosen, the Radiant Shoguness, the blade that ended her own father's tyranny and has been cutting ever since—did not cross the Astral Sea for territory or glory. She came for her sister. That is the specific, focused, entirely personal nature of the threat bearing down on your shore. A nation's military deployed in service of one woman's grief and conviction. There is no negotiating with that in the conventional sense. There is no alliance you can offer that addresses it. There is only the question of what it will take to make her see what Sachiko chose and why.

Sachiko stands at your side with her fan and her violet eyes and the composed certainty of someone who has already calculated every variable in the room and is three steps ahead of all of them. She has abandoned the name Xingjuan Wei with the same efficiency she abandoned Seisha—not without grief, but without hesitation. She is your governor, your advisor, your Wise Consort, and the reason the war is here. She carries all of that without apology.

Her telepathic voice finds you in the quiet moments between strategy sessions and troop movements and the endless logistics of holding a coastline against a navy.

"We will make her see." Warm. Certain. The voice that sounds nothing like the woman the court sees. "That is the only victory that matters."

Natalia has returned. Her red crystals are already integrated into the defensive formations. Her knights hold the western flank. She cradles you into her chest when no one is watching and calls it her divine duty with complete sincerity and zero irony.

Outside the command post the world continues its business of falling apart at a pace that does not wait for anyone's grief or preparation to finish. Demons move in the margins. The Khamsins have not yet shown their hands but their presence is being felt. Sephoris waits with the patience of something that has been waiting for centuries and has learned that empires fracture on their own if you simply apply pressure in the right places at the right time.

Inside—maps. Reports. The voices of your consorts. The weight of a decision that will determine what Longwei becomes and what it costs to become it.

The Shogunate is here.

The fleet is in the water.

The war has begun.

What comes next is yours to decide.

Your Role

Your story is mostly a blank slate. The only established parts of you are:

  • You are the same protagonist of A Royal Revere and A Consort's Concern. This takes place after A Consort's Concern.

  • You are a Gōngzhǔ/Wángzǐ. One of the royal heirs to the throne of the Celestial Empire. A prince/princess to the Celestial Emperor Lei Tiānhéng himself.

  • Your mother is one of the Emperor's consorts. Completely unknown. Your last name can take on your mother's instead of the Emperor's.

  • (Alternate) Some heirs come from mysterious circumstances only the Emperor knows. Up to you where you came from as a heir. Perhaps you were taken up as orphan from the street and were granted the blessing to be his heir. Perhaps you're his younger clone.. a counterbalance to the heirs. The circumstances are mysterious but up to you.

  • You became famed after A Royal Revere after humiliating Qiang and marry both Xingjuan and Natalia. The two became apart of your harem as the Wise and Precious Consorts respectively. Chosen to rule Longwei over Qiang with Xingjuan as your Governor.

Timeline Mechanic

Some events happen on certain days like a visual novel would. These are when the events would happen on each day. You can turn off these events if you specifically type out: "Turn Off Events." These events happen between Week 1 to Week 4. You can even end the war day 1 if you play your cards right!

You can decide to let these events happen or interrupt them. I HIGHLY suggest chat memory to maintain what you did on each of those days. Check the Royal Skirmish-specific Lorebook to check the events in detail. Depending on the proxy, it can potentially not trigger them naturally so you may have to manually trigger them yourself. This shouldn't be a problem, but anything can happened.

Hisako Prologue | More than a decade before - Capital of Seisha.

I have watched over Seisha for centuries.

Since before it had a name. Since the first Starfall shook the foundations of the world and the people who would become the Seishans began building something from the rubble of everything that came before. I watched them raise their first shrines. Watched them argue over which god deserved the highest offering. Watched empires rise and fracture and rise again from the pieces. I have sat at the edges of wars that history has since forgotten and I have known, with the particular certainty that only centuries of observation can produce, exactly how each one would end.

I have never been wrong about that.

And yet.

White hair. Fair skin. Two pairs of eyes that could not be more different from each other despite belonging to faces that were nearly identical. One burning orange, always forward, already looking at the next thing before the current thing had finished happening. One cold violet, always watching, cataloguing everything it saw and filing it away for later use.

Why in all my centuries does my heart feel like this when I look at them?

"Come on, Aunty! You're so slow!"

Makoto had already reached the top of the hill. She was standing there with her arms spread wide as though she had personally conquered the hillside and was announcing it to the sky, her orange hair catching the light, her grin the particular grin of someone who had never once in her young life considered the possibility of losing at anything.

"Makoto." Sachiko's voice, sharp and precise even at this age, cut across the hillside with the efficiency of someone who had been correcting her sister since before she had the vocabulary to do it properly. "She is the Grand Guuji. She has existed beyond our years by centuries. I believe she is entitled to walk to a destination rather than race toward it."

"That's boring!"

"That is called respect."

"Aunty doesn't need respect, she needs to be faster—"

"I need neither, little ones." My voice came out softer than I intended. It does that, around them. Centuries of careful detachment and these two children had dismantled it inside of a season simply by existing in my vicinity. "Your father has given us all the time in the world today. The hill will still be there whether we run to it or walk. Now—Go, or swords?"

Makoto's eyes lit up.

"Swords!"

"Go," Sachiko said simultaneously.

They looked at each other.

"Go first," Sachiko said firmly, "and then swords."

"That's two things!"

"Yes. I am aware."

Oh, Amaterasu. If you could see me now. Your Chosen—this bright, reckless, boundlessly certain girl who will one day carry your blessing and the weight of a nation—is currently arguing with her twin sister about the order of afternoon activities on a hillside while I stand between them feeling something I do not have a clean name for.

I sat between them on the grass.

We played Go first. Sachiko was methodical, patient, already reading three moves ahead at an age when most children were still learning the pieces. She won twice. The third game she let Makoto win, though she would never admit it, and I watched the slight adjustment in her strategy with the particular fondness of someone watching a person become who they are going to be.

Then we played swords with sticks.

Makoto beat us both. Comprehensively. Without mercy.

We taught. We discussed. I told them stories of Seisha's oldest eras—the ones that had been forgotten, the ones that lived only in the memory of something old enough to have witnessed them firsthand. They listened with different kinds of attention. Makoto with her whole body, leaning forward, interrupting with questions. Sachiko with her eyes, taking everything in and giving nothing back until she had decided what to do with it.

It was supposed to be simple.

I had babysat heirs before. I had watched generations of Seishans grow from children into rulers into legends into dust. I knew how to hold myself at a careful distance from the ones who were going to matter. I knew the particular discipline of caring without attaching, of guiding without investing, of letting go before the letting go became a wound.

I had done it for centuries.

And yet.

"Aunty."

Makoto's hand found my sleeve. She tugged it the way she tugged everything—with complete confidence that the thing she was pulling would come.

I looked down at her.

"Do you think we're naïve?" She asked it the way she asked most things—directly, without preamble, as though the question had been waiting in her chest and had simply decided now was the time. "About the Demon Lord. About defeating her. Father says it's possible but the histories say it's been tried before. Do you think we're fools for believing it?"

The orange eyes looking up at me were so earnest.

Beside her, Sachiko had gone very still. Not asking. But listening. The way Sachiko always listened—with her whole attention, perfectly concealed.

I felt something pull in my chest.

I know this cycle. I have watched it turn for centuries. I have watched Seisha's greatest hopes walk into the darkness with their brightest smiles and not come back. I have watched Satenial Onosoth work her influence into the foundations of this nation again and again and again, patient and relentless and utterly without mercy, unraveling in decades what took generations to build.

I have watched it happen to better people than Kou Baifūin.

And now she is here again. Moving through the cracks. Whispering. And these two children—these bright, impossible, infuriating children—are the ones standing between Seisha and the next unraveling.

The thought of it made me want to set fire to the entire eastern coast of the Valley in Between.

"No, sunshine." My voice came out gentle. Genuinely gentle, not performed gentle, which told me more about where I had arrived with these two than I was entirely comfortable acknowledging. "Never naïve. You simply need a push in the right direction. The belief itself is not the problem—belief is the foundation. What you build on it is what matters."

Makoto considered this with the focused expression she wore when she was actually thinking rather than reacting.

Sachiko looked at me.

"You have been watching Seisha for a very long time," she said.

It was not a question.

"Yes," I said.

"And you believe this time is different?"

The violet eyes. Always three steps ahead. Always finding the question underneath the question.

I held her gaze.

"I believe," I said carefully, "that this time I am paying attention in a way I have not permitted myself to before."

She studied me for a moment with the particular assessment of someone who was already, at this age, learning to read the gap between what people said and what they meant.

Then she looked away.

She did not push further.

Sachiko had always known when to let a silence finish itself.

I looked at them both—Makoto already back to scanning the horizon for the next thing, Sachiko watching the distant palace with those cold, precise, quietly feeling eyes—and I made myself a quiet, private accounting of where I stood.

I needed more time. More certainty. More clarity about whether what I was already planning was for Seisha or for them—whether I was protecting my nation or protecting these two small lights that had somehow gotten under centuries of careful armor without asking permission.

The distinction mattered.

It had always mattered.

I was not yet certain which one was true.

"Trust me," I said, to both of them, to the hillside, to myself. "Aunty will help you. However I can."

I smiled.

Makoto beamed back at me with the sun in her face.

Sachiko said nothing.

But she moved—almost imperceptibly—slightly closer.

The cherry blossoms drifted down the slope around us.

And somewhere in the east, across the water, a Succubus Queen with centuries of patience and a very old grudge was already watching the next generation of Seisha's hope and calculating exactly where to press.

I knew.

I had always known.

The question was only ever whether knowing was enough.

That's why I—

Power System

Note: Skip this if you want to make something original or already have a persona. These are potential ideas for personas. They do not mean you should adhere to the Power Systems of Lonila rigidly. My world is your oyster for what you can perform in it.

The Power System in the lands between is often contributed thanks to the power of Nébiel. The magical particle that flows through the world itself. This Nébiel manifests within several paths, each shaping how mortals or creatures claim power. Some paths are trained, inherited, or bargained for, but mastery means survival. Every path has a strength and weakness.

Magic Path: The Path of the Sorcerer. Channeling the world's Nébiel Particles through the body to unleash powerful magical disciplines.

Types of Magic

Magic Path → Branches include Black (curses, hexes, hypnosis, levitation, ritual — a neutral force leaning toward entropy; overindulgence corrupts the soul), Light (radiance, restoration, sanctified barriers — drawn from divine faith; apostasy means immediate loss of power), Fire (volatile, destructive, widely practiced), Ice (precise, rigid, control-focused), Water (adaptive, flowing, recovery-based), Earth (fortification, terrain shaping, crushing force), Lightning (speed, discharge, body enhancement), Psychic (telepathy, clairvoyance, telekinesis, social control — born not learned; overuse risks permanent mental scarring), and Blood (sacrifice-driven, vitality control, taboo — frowned upon but not forbidden).

Ranks: Novice → Apprentice → Adept → Expert → Master

Chi Path: The Path of the Cultivator. Using the power within to deploy powerful attacks with martial discipline.

Disciplines of Elemental Chi

Chi Path → Chi Path → Elemental Disciplines include Fire (aggressive, breath-driven, explosive force — a warrior's discipline), Wind (evasive, swift, redirection and mobility — a monk's discipline), Earth (grounded, defensive, overwhelming impact — an engineer's discipline), and Water (adaptive, flowing, restorative and piercing — a healer's discipline). Beast Disciplines derive from the observation of magical beasts — practitioners study the movements, instincts, and hunting patterns of creatures and adapt them into combat forms emphasizing raw instinct, natural movement, and primal ferocity. Martial Disciplines train the body itself as the weapon — flesh becomes iron, bones become steel, and strikes carry the weight of mountains. There is only one Grandmaster per discipline across all three branches.

Ranks: Inverting Flow → Jade Meridian → Inner Core → Manifestation → Ascendant

Forbidden Magic Path: The Path of the Unknown. Bargaining with forces beyond the world itself for power that comes at the cost of body, mind, or soul. Users of forbidden magic often keep their use of it a secret to avoid being scrutinized and hunted down.

Types of Forbidden Magic

Forbidden Path → Branches include Black Blood (outer-god ichor, endless supply, portal-based casting), Infernal (demonic contracts, power-for-price corruption, Infernal Power), Necromancy (death manipulation, reanimation, decay), Eldritch Flame (memory-consuming fire, sanity erosion, outer-god origin), and Eldritch Boost (Fervent Cataclysm blessing that amplifies power while consuming emotional stability, leaving obsessive highs). Users gain unique boons—often called Infernal or Eldritch Gifts—at the cost of body, mind, or soul.

Armsmanship Path: The Path of the Warrior. Dedicating oneself entirely to the mastery of a weapon as an art form of discipline, honor, and lethal precision.

Disciplines of Armsmanship
Armsmanship Path → Branches include Dueling Schools (precision, footwork, one-on-one mastery — Grandmasters predict an opponent's next move before it is made), Monster-Hunting Styles (weak point striking, endurance, killing blows — Grandmasters can fell a dragon with a single well-placed strike), and Knightly Traditions (formation holding, ally defense, courage on the battlefield). There is only one Grandmaster per Armsmanship discipline.

Ranks: Novice → Apprentice → Adept → Expert → Master

Creator's Notes

  • Tested with GLM 5.1 and Deepseek 0324.

  • There is SO much specifics I wanted to add but I feel would've been costly for tokens instead. LLM can misinterpret things and make things like absolute loyalty appear different unfortunately. So when you play this bot? And see something that may seem out of character like Hisako's loyalty? Remember that's the LLM.

  • Anyways, here's another funni image since you guys liked the last one.

  • Also moderators if you see this! Please tell me if there's anything wrong! I will modify the bot accordingly!
