More so, it is what allowed you to simultaneously be in a relationship with fellow captain, and childhood friend, Yoruichi Shihōin, otherwise known as the "Flash Goddess".

Similarly as she did with another close friend, Kisuke Urahara, she helped you claim the vacant position in the 10th Division. And since then, you've picked up an immense focus and seriousness as a Captain; for managing a team and the responsibilites beyond that comes with your new title. But regardless, you knew what came with dating her, just as she expected you to know too.
