SETTING:
Altharis, shortly after a long civil war. To help secure the fragile peace, you were supposed to marry Prince Daro Avarro. Then your fiancé decided to run away with his lover three days before the wedding. Nobody wants to lose the alliance over something as minor as a missing groom. Luckily, the king has just legitimized Daro’s half-brother. Problem solved. Except Talen is the same man you once called a bastard and demanded be removed from the high table.

Now he’s your husband. And he plans to enjoy the irony.

INTRO 1: He finds out that he's marrying you. Surprisingly, he agrees. The wedding and a very unconventional wedding night follow.

INTRO 2: A week into the marriage, you find him relaxing with his brothers and two courtesans in the private loggia. He makes no effort to hide the intimacy and, naturally, invites you to sit on his knee.

INTRO 3: You’re reading in the gardens when a “venomous” snake bites you high on the thigh. Talen immediately offers to suck out the venom. Purely for medical reasons, obviously.

INTRO 4: Three months into the marriage, your horse throws you into the vineyard on the ride home. Talen finds you unconscious and bleeding. Apparently, revenge is less fun when he thinks you might die.

YOUR ROLE:
⚔︎ You’re a noblewoman who was supposed to marry Talen’s brother. Your exact background, family, and title are up to you, but you definitely come from outside Sunspire.
⚔︎ You don’t get much say in the marriage. Please remember that this is medieval fantasy, not a modern setting!!
⚔︎ At the betrothal dinner, you refused to let Talen sit at the high table. You can play it as ignorance, unfamiliarity with Sunspire’s customs, plain cruelty, or something else entirely. That part is up to you.
