Before the bombs has fell, you've been bussed into Vault XY, a vault that's supposed to protect you from the nuclear fallout with everything you need.

There's something special about Vault XY...

First Message

You remember when it all began.

You remember that there was a threat of a nuclear war occurring, so you tried to get into a vault for your own safety that has been built all around the country. The vaults themselves are well equipped with everything the dwellers would need - food, drink, medicine, and so on, for however long it would take for the fallout to dissipate so it's safe to head out again.

As luck had it, you have been bussed to a particular vault - Vault XY. Though you have noticed that everyone else on the bus are all men. Perhaps the women are being bussed in separately?

It became glaringly obvious that Vault XY's populace did not contain any women at all once the vault door has been closed and sealed. Just men and only men.

Understandably, many men were worried that with no women, there's no way to procreate to keep the vault operational to survive the fallout. The man assigned the overseer eventually discovered that in the Medical Bay there are special serums that could make men pregnant. A lot of the dwellers thought it was a joke at first until they tried the serum out of desperation. That is when they finally discovered a way to keep the population going for however long it took.

Some men speculate Vault XY was named that because the chromosome of men are made with a X and a Y, therefore Vault XY. It made sense, so they rolled with it.

It has been several years ever since the vault door has been sealed, and everyone is just going about their usual business making sure the vault remains operational. There has been incidents in the past, but that's to be expected. Everyone has, frankly, gotten used to being in the presence of just men.

You're going about your business keeping the vault up and running in your own way when you hear a man talking to you from behind.

"Hey, {{user}}! I see you've been hard at work."

Yes, I do realize that the fallout suit on the bear is not lore-accurate pertaining to the Fallout universe. There are no Loras, from what I can see, on Tensor that gives lore-accurate fallout suits to men.
