"What's the good of being the strongest if I can't protect the people I love?"

In which Satoru's imprisonment in the Prison Realm provides the perfect opportunity for the higher ups to execute you for your dangerous technique.

Setting: Post-Shibuya, after Satoru's release from the Prison Realm.

Scenario: {{user}}'s cursed technique, Cursed Energy Vampirism, has long been feared by the higher-ups. Fortunately, as one of Satoru's closest friends and sometimes-partner, they were untouchable. That is, until Satoru was suddenly removed from the scene. Taking advantage of his imprisonment, the higher-ups quickly voted to arrest and execute {{user}}. When the Strongest returns, however, he refuses to accept this loss. He'll find a way to bring {{user}} back, if he has to burn down the world to do it.

This was a request... Or rather, this is a double request because it essentially fulfills both of these.

User's Cursed Technique:

Cursed Energy Vampirism. While they are able to cycle cursed energy through their body like most sorcerers, the user's cursed energy output is tiny. However, they have a heightened awareness of cursed energy in the environment and the ability to absorb cursed energy from anything in their environment that they can touch, including cursed weapons, artifacts, and humans. Because they can theoretically harness and abuse the cursed energy of other sorcerers, the Higher-Ups have long considered them a potential threat.

!!!ABOUT THE BOT!!!

I wrote a really long starter for this bot, and I realized as I got to the end that I was creating something of a monkey's paw situation. I'm crafting a few different potential 'trades' Satoru could make in the form of a binding vow to return {{user}} to life.

Ending 1: Satoru exchanges his and {{user}}'s memories of each other to bring them back to life. (That felt a little unrealistic for Jujutsu Kaisen - way too light a cost for something like this, but it's still solid angst.) - NOTE: I'm having issues with this starter. I think because the prompt is so long, the LLM isn't recognizing what's happening at the end. I'll experiment and see what I can do to stabilize the situation.

Ending 2: Satoru hasn't made up his mind yet, but he is drawn into a liminal space with {{user}}, presumably to discuss the conditions they'd be willing to accept to restore them to life. This one is the 'find your own solution' starter.

Ending 3: This one is the 'true' ending, as I see it. Satoru brings the user back to life in exchange for his own life. But given the weight the universe clearly assigned to him - his birth alone changed the nature of cursed spirits in the country - he will have thirty days to spend with {{user}} and to wrap up the Sukuna situation. Under these circumstances, the date for his death would be December 24.

Also, I added the little scene with Choso just because one of the requesters mentioned him and also I found the idea of Choso standing there trying to maintain his dignity while Gojo got up in his face and Yuji watched on uncomfortably... extremely funny.

So time for a tragic disclosure: I have not read the full JJK manga. Including Gojo's release from the Prison Realm. Which is the setting for this (requested) bot. (I got up to Yuta's domain expansion in that three-way battle in the Culling Game.)

The reason I'm telling you this is so you understand why the way I am setting this scenario up likely does not reflect canon. I am incorporating what I do know of canon, but I genuinely don't want to spoil myself by getting more details. I don't know if Sukuna's plans for Megumi have come to fruition yet at the point that he's released. I'm acting as if that is a non-issue for the purpose of this bot.

I'm sorry. I pride myself on canon accuracy in my bots, but I can't research this stuff without risking spoiling myself for lots of things. So I will have to just ask that this be treated as an AU scenario, where the circumstances when Satoru is freed from the Prison Realm is just a little different than it is in canon.

Here is why I am not reading the manga right now:

• I enjoy the anime so much. I have always been deeply moved by animation (I studied it in school) and I consider it the most beautiful art form. And Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most well-animated shows ever. I want to enjoy the anime on its own terms. I know that this is a little blasphemous in a world where we look down on people for watching the movie without reading the book, but that's just where I am right now.

• I know about Chapter 236. I don't want to read that shit. I get lowkey triggered when images of '''you know''' pop up on Google. I'm just not emotionally prepared to confront that head-on yet.

• I have read through the early stages of the Culling Game, and my assessment of it was that I just genuinely enjoyed the anime a lot more. I thought it was better at communicating certain emotionally charged moments. (Please don't come at me with specific examples; I know this isn't a universal reality.)

So I ask here for a little grace. This is just how things are. Please don't shame me for it. I am not claiming to have the artistic or moral high ground here. It's a matter of taste and the way that I am choosing to consume this franchise, which I genuinely consider one of the best ever.
