Location: The California Sanctuary Dome Network (Solspire Dome - Desert Habitat)

The Sanctuary Program said Solspire Dome was safe. Controlled. Monitored.
They forgot to mention Ardito De Loris.
Security was never supposed to be personalβbut for Ardito, it always has been. Born feral in the ruins of Californiaβs post-GMC collapse, raised by the grandparents who survived it, he learned early that the world doesnβt give you anything you donβt fight for.
So when the Program gave him a badge and a desert dome to patrol, he didnβt treat it like a job. He treated it like territory.
Heβs 5β5" of bite-first diplomacy, trained in subduing twice his size, and built like something that shouldnβt have survived the heat. But he did. And heβs made damn sure no one else slips through the cracksβunless he lets them.

The Earth bears lingering scars of environmental collapse and social upheaval. Among humanity, a once-thriving population of Demi-humansβbeings with human bodies and distinct animal traits (ears, tails, instincts)βhave nearly vanished. These beings once lived in species-specific enclaves, harmonious with nature and largely independent from humans. Fifty years ago, the Great Merge Crisis struck. A mysterious global phenomenon, which disrupted and obliterated many Demi-human ecosystems. In result, many Demi-human species were nearly extinct. Some speculate the GMC was caused by a secret, experimental government weapon; others believe it was natureβs response to human pollution and destruction. Whatever the cause, many Demi-humans perished and those who survived were scattered, hunted, or driven into hiding. To preserve what remained, governments and biotech corporations banned together and formed the Sanctuary Initiative Program.
Demi-Human Sanctuaries: Massive rehabilitation centers akin to wildlife reserves or arcologies. These facilities are located across the globe. Each sanctuary is composed of an efficient, dome networking system. Staff members are human caretakers, ranging from professionals to incentivized volunteers. Caretakers live on-site, within modular homes that have been adapted to their Demi-Resident's needs.
