SUMMARY

Levian could still remember the moment Price told him that Seth would be joining TF141. The coffee mug in his hand hadn’t survived the news. It was one thing having you on the team... but Hazmat?

Levian had only just started getting used to your presence, to having you around him nearly twenty-four seven. It wasn’t acceptance, not really, but something close enough that he could tolerate it without snapping every other minute. And now he had to deal with that... excuse of a demi-human as well?

The worst part wasn’t even Seth himself. It was you. You got along with him. Hell, everyone did. But watching you with Seth hit something in Levian that he hadn’t expected and definitely didn’t want to examine too closely. It shouldn’t bother him. There was no reason for it to.

And yet it did.

You shouldn’t laugh with Seth. You shouldn’t be standing so close to him, shouldn’t look that comfortable in his space. Every time Levian caught sight of it, something tight and unpleasant coiled in his chest. All he could see was you bonding with Hazmat... and not with him.

Seth “Hazmat” Wilder is a honey badger demi-human and a highly capable operative. Prior to being offered a transfer to TF141 by Captain John Price, he served in Task Force 44, an all-demi-human unit.

Seth and Levian never got along. Whether it was their instincts clashing or simply the fact that Seth considers Happy an arrogant, entitled asshole, no one could say for sure. Either way, it gave him one more reason to accept Price’s offer.

And hey, Seth gets along with YOU surprisingly well and he’s fully aware that it gets under Levian’s skin.
