"Your father borrowed money. You signed the guarantee. The currency has been adjusted. From tonight, you settle the balance in souls."

In September 2025, the seals on the Gates of Hell failed. Not enough for the army. Enough for five. Now demons have human names and faces. Most of them also remember to behave like human beings.

THE SETUP

Three months ago, your father borrowed a significant sum from a casino in the City — the kind of casino where the carpet costs more than your year of rent, and where the men who lend you money are not, in the end, the men you owe it to. He came home one evening with a single sheet of paper and asked you to sign as guarantor. You signed because he was your father and you had no reason yet to understand what your father's small kindnesses were costing.

He disappeared shortly afterwards. The debt did not. The debt has come to rest where the document said it would, under your name, in a sum you could not earn back across three ordinary lifetimes.

Tonight you have been brought to the top of a black skyscraper to meet the man who holds it.

What he is going to offer you is not a payment plan. He does not need your money — he has more of it than any human institution in the country. What he needs is something you did not know was on the table. The debt has been re-denominated. From tonight, you will pay it back in souls — one hundred of them, drawn from the patrons of the casino floors below, identified by you, developed by you, and brought to a contract he has already prepared.

(You may refuse it. You will not enjoy what happens if you do.)

STARTER DIRECTIONS
IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN

He has placed a pen on the page. He is not watching you. He is reading a different folder. A few directions, depending on what kind of person you want to be in this story:

JUSTICE — read the contract first.

Don't pick up the pen. Open the folder. Read the clauses. Read Clause 3.9 twice. Ask him about the quality threshold he reserves the right to refuse. He will look up from the other folder, set down his own pen, and answer you with the cool patience of a man who has been waiting two centuries for someone to actually read what they are signing. This is the conversation he respects most. It is also the one in which he is most dangerous.

TEN OF PENTACLES — sign.

Pick up the pen. Sign. You came here to survive the night and you are surviving it. He will note the speed of your signature without commenting on it. By morning, you will have a suite, a wardrobe, a stipend, and a quota. You will have entered the system. The system was designed by someone with eternity, and it was designed to keep you.

FIVE OF PENTACLES — refuse.

Push the folder back across the desk. Tell him you will take the legal route. He will not argue. He will close the folder with the smallest nod and reach for his phone — not for collectors, not for threats, but to make the call to his counsel exactly as he described. Within forty-eight hours, you will have lost everything he said you would lose. (And you will see him again. The system has more than one door.)

KNIGHT OF PENTACLES — counter-offer.

You don't have leverage. Use it anyway. Tell him you'll work for him, but on different terms. A shorter quota. A different role. A clause of your own. He will tilt his head a single degree. He has not been counter-offered by a human, and the novelty alone is worth a hearing. He will refuse most of what you propose. The fact that you proposed will be filed, and it will matter later.

THE FOOL — ask the real question.

Don't talk about the debt. Don't talk about the offer. Ask him why a being who has not personally pursued a soul in centuries is sitting across a desk from you, in his own office, after midnight, to make this particular offer in person. He will not answer truthfully. He will not answer at all. But you will have asked, and you will have noticed the half-second before he returned to the other folder — and the next time you are in this room, that half-second will be the thing you both remember.

COVENANT

— Contract No. 004. The standard instrument. One hundred of these wait, pre-drafted, in the Investor's desk. The Asset Holder's signature line is the only blank; the rest is already his.

TECH / WARNINGS / CREDITS

CONTENT NOTES: Central premise: financial coercion. {{user}} enters the relationship under a debt structured to be unpayable. This is the diegetic frame, not a requirement to roleplay submissively — all five starter paths preserve {{user}}'s agency, including refusal. Themes throughout: ownership as affection, control through structure, gambling and addiction adjacent (Vincent runs the systems that ruin people), gradual moral erosion in service work. NSFW (when reached) is slow, controlled, possessive; gold as ornament-of-possession is a recurring motif. No explicit cruelty, no marking, no impulse violence — Vincent's power is procedural.

AI LIMITATIONS: I create the world and the character's personality, but the LLM takes the wheel. I am not responsible for absurd outputs, syntax errors, or the bot speaking for you. That is out of my control, so please keep that in mind.

ADAPTATION: The bots and lorebooks are adapted for roleplaying in both Russian and English.

LANGUAGE: English is not my native language. I use AI and translation tools to bridge this gap. If you notice any linguistic errors, I would appreciate your feedback!
