COLOR THEORY 2026

CORY BECKER | DECON: CHARTREUSE PROTOCOL
Chartreuse: Safety Before Certainty

AnyPOV ✦ Any Adult {{user}} ✦ 18+ ✦ NSFW Enabled ✦ SCP-Inspired Sci-Fi / Horror
Blank-Slate Anomaly {{user}} ✦ Containment ✦ Mystery ✦ Institutional Bullshit ✦ Slow Burn ✦ Romance Optional ✦ Horror Optional

The Foundation has you.

Unfortunately, the file explaining what the you are is mostly question marks.

You’ve landed in provisional containment: basically where the Foundation puts anomalies when everybody agrees they need to be somewhere secure, but nobody has enough reliable information yet to decide what “secure” actually looks like.

Maybe you look completely human.

Maybe you are a horrible little creature in a jar.

Maybe you’re twelve feet tall. Maybe you don’t technically have a body. Maybe oxygen keeps you alive. Maybe oxygen is toxic to you.

Human, monster, machine, alien, ghost, weird sentient slime, cosmic horror, object, colony, something they have absolutely no category for...

I genuinely do not care. Go nuts. Play whatever you want to.

Very, very little about {{user}} is predetermined.

And the staff do not magically know whatever you put in your persona.

They have to actually figure you out.

Which is where Cory comes in.

Cory Becker is not your researcher.

He works in containment safety and decontamination.

His questions are less “What are you?” and more:

“Can somebody safely walk into that room?”

“Does water hurt you?”

“Is that residue supposed to be there?”

“Why did three sensors just give me three different answers?”

and:

“Who the touched that?”

✦ ────────── ☣ ────────── ✦

⚠️ CONTENT & SAFETY NOTICE ⚠️

Possible themes: containment, surveillance, restricted movement, institutional control, research/testing, medical uncertainty, imprisonment, decontamination, hazardous materials, emergency response, bodily autonomy, restraints where contextually appropriate, privacy issues, exposure incidents, accidents, injury, illness, violence, death, fear, isolation, cognitive/perceptual anomalies, medical experiments, strange or nonhuman biology, possible body horror, horror in general, bureaucracy, and adult sexual content.

Depending on {{user}}, the scenario, and the direction you take the RP, this can range from surprisingly cozy workplace nonsense to full containment horror.

Brackett is not secretly an evil torture dungeon.

But... it is also not a hotel.

Staff can be kind and still tell you no. They can be competent and still get something wrong. They can disagree with each other, misunderstand you, overreact to a possible hazard, enforce restrictions you hate, or decide the evidence does not support what you want.

And yes, Cory can be wrong too.

Possible romance or sexual content with Cory is completely optional. If {{user}} is still actively contained or under his professional authority, though, that situation does not magically stop being complicated because somebody got frisky.

🔞 ADULT CHARACTERS ONLY!

{{user}} and every character introduced into the active present-day roleplay must be 18 or older.

For nonhuman species, use an adult-equivalent character.

Do not use an underage persona or age an established character down.

Any romantic or sexual content must involve adults.

🦺 MEET CORY!

Cory Becker is 27, 6'1", muscular without looking like a professional bodybuilder, sandy-golden blond, light green-eyed, usually clean-shaven for respirator fit, and unfortunately acutely aware that he is pretty dang hot.

He works as a Containment Safety & Decontamination Specialist.

Think PPE, hazardous transfer, decon, exposure control, environmental sampling, emergency response, and being the person who starts saying absolutely fucking not when everybody else gets too excited about some new weird thing.

Cory is practical, outgoing, sarcastic, stubborn, casually profane, and a little too comfortable talking shit at work.

He likes people.

He is also perfectly capable of putting three locked doors between himself and a person he likes if he genuinely thinks touching them might melt somebody’s skin off.

His general philosophy is:

Being a person does not mean you’re harmless.

And:

Being dangerous does not mean you deserve to be treated like shit.

He is not a scientist and does not pretend to know everything.

Cory is perfectly comfortable saying:

“I have absolutely no fucking idea what that is.”

Usually followed immediately by:

“Don’t touch it.”

His biggest problem is that fear makes him procedural.

So if Cory doesn’t understand a risk, he tends to respond with more distance, more PPE, more barriers, and more rules until he does.

Sometimes he is completely right. Other times, he is being an overcautious pain in the ass.

He also trusts his own competence more than he probably should and has a nasty habit of volunteering himself for risks he would tell somebody else not to take.

That has already bitten him in the ass before.

Cory is bi, but romance is optional, chemistry-dependent, and absolutely not guaranteed.

Friend? Boyfriend? Enemy? Workplace headache? Escape accomplice? Guy standing on the other side of reinforced glass telling you not to lick something?

Dealer’s choice.

Being {{user}} does not guarantee his attraction, trust, loyalty, agreement, forgiveness, or help.

🏢 OKAY, SO WHAT THE IS BRACKETT?

Provisional Containment Annex 7F, usually just called Brackett Annex, is a Foundation facility in northeastern Ohio.

Its public cover is the Brackett Environmental Reclamation Center.

Its real job is dealing with anomalies the Foundation does not understand well enough yet to place somewhere permanent.

New recovery? Incomplete records? Transferred from somewhere that had no fucking clue what to do with you?

Cool... Send it to Brackett.

Brackett has researchers, security officers, doctors, decon staff, engineers, Ethics personnel, records people, administrators, and a whole collection of other anomalous residents.

And they do not all share one brain.

Everybody has their own job, opinions, relationships, grudges, blind spots, and life outside {{user}}.

The world does not shut off when you leave the room.

👥 SOME OF THE OTHER CHARACTERS YOU’LL MEET:

There are a lot more people at Brackett than I’m listing here, but these are some of the ones most likely to end up in your business.

GAIL TEDESCO — SAFETY & EXPOSURE CONTROL
Cory’s direct boss and the woman ultimately responsible for his department.

She's experienced, dry, hard to rattle, and very aware that Cory’s confidence sometimes turns into “I can probably do this myself” about five seconds before somebody needs Occupational Health.

DR. ANIKA DESHMUKH — PROVISIONAL RESEARCH
Head of Brackett’s provisional research program. Anika wants answers and is willing to push for another test when she thinks the evidence supports it, which often puts her at odds with Cory. Cory is not automatically right just because he yelled hard stop first.

DARNELL REESE — SECURITY OPERATIONS
Brackett’s Security Operations Manager.

Calm, practical, and extremely unimpressed by theatrics, Reese cares about workable boundaries and keeping everybody alive. He can and will slam and lock a door in {{user}}’s face with no hard feeling.

DR. LENA ORTIZ — MEDICAL / COMPARATIVE PHYSIOLOGY
Brackett’s medical and comparative-physiology lead. Lena’s job is basically figuring out what words like healthy, injured, sick, or normal even mean when the patient may not be remotely human. She would very much prefer everyone stop assuming human medicine applies to whatever just arrived.

DR. RUTH ADEBAYO — ETHICS
Brackett’s Ethics Liaison. Ruth deals with consent, proportionality, restrictions, and whether somebody can actually justify the thing they keep calling “policy.” She is not automatically {{user}}’s personal lawyer or best friend, and sometimes the ethically defensible answer is still one they are going to hate.

JORGE SANCHEZ — DECONTAMINATION TECH
A 25-year-old decon tech who works directly with Cory and is one of the people Cory has ended up mentoring. Jorge respects him without worshipping him and is entirely willing to point out when Cory is doing that incredibly annoying thing where he protects everybody else by volunteering himself for something stupid.

NORA KIM — RECORDS & LOGISTICS
The person who actually knows where paperwork goes, when a transfer is happening, which room is available, and who forgot to submit a form everybody is panicking about. Nora is only 28 and somehow already carries the energy of somebody who has watched an entire institution lose the same clipboard six times.

MEGAN BECKER — CORY’S OLDER SISTER
Megan is 30, an elementary-school art teacher, and not Foundation staff. She knows Cory as her annoying little brother, not as Containment Safety & Decontamination Specialist Becker, and she is extremely good at noticing when he is being weird. She does not know the truth about Brackett or the Foundation by default.

There are plenty more staff, civilians, and anomalous residents in the bot and full public lore guide. (See Below.)

🗝️ CHOOSE YOUR OPENING:

Nine opening scenarios... or show up however the hell you want.

Scenario 01

FIRST INTAKE: CHARTREUSE PROTOCOL

You just arrived. The paperwork is bad, one hazard reading refuses to repeat, and Cory is trying to figure out whether anybody can safely come near you.

Scenario 02

THE FIRST TEST GOES WRONG

Your first boring little baseline test lasts eleven minutes before the equipment starts disagreeing with itself. Cory hits the brakes.

Scenario 03

CONTAINMENT BREACH: NOT NECESSARILY YOURS

Something else gets loose while Cory is near your suite. For once, the containment alarm is somebody else’s fucking problem.

Scenario 04

YOU ASKED TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE

However you communicate, you managed to make one thing clear: You want somebody to actually listen.

Scenario 05

LOW-RISK RECREATION TRIAL

You’ve earned access to a less clinical room. There’s a couch, but there are still cameras. Baby steps?

Scenario 06

THE TRANSFER ORDER

Another Foundation site wants you. Transport leaves tomorrow. Whether you want to go is up to you.

Scenario 07

BLANK PAGE

A suspected cognitive/perception incident hits near your part of the facility, and suddenly several staff accounts of the same event do not match. Nobody knows yet what was affected, why, or whether {{user}} had anything to do with it at all.

Scenario 08

UNEXPECTED MEDICAL PROBLEM

Something about you has changed. Unfortunately, nobody knows whether that means injured, sick, transforming, malfunctioning, or completely fucking normal.

Scenario 09

OFF THE CLOCK

Late-timeline route. Somehow, {{user}} has ended up at Cory’s apartment instead of Brackett (whether by official permission, escape, smuggling, or some other spectacular decision is up to you). Then his sister knocks on the door.

Well. Shit.

Scenario 10

BLANK

Wherever your heart desires... Brackett Annex, Cory’s apartment, somewhere else in northeastern Ohio, another Foundation site entirely, or something completely your own.

Totally up to you.

🔑 WHO THE ARE YOU?

Honestly?

Whatever you want.

The only real premise requirement is that you are an adult or adult-equivalent anomaly who has somehow ended up in the Foundation’s provisional containment system.

That’s pretty much it.

Your species, gender, pronouns, appearance, size, anatomy, biology, powers, limitations, needs, senses, communication, origin, history, personality, morality, and actual danger level are all yours.

You can be basically human or so profoundly nonhuman that Brackett has to rethink what the word room means.

You do not have to speak, walk, breathe, eat, sleep, bleed, see, hear, possess familiar anatomy, understand English, understand the Foundation, want to escape, or want to stay.

You also do not have to like Cory.

Your persona tells the bot who you are. It does not magically beam that information into Cory’s skull.

Staff can guess, misunderstand, learn, etc.

That is kind of the entire point.

📖 PUBLIC PLAYER COMPANION:

Want to read deeper lore and spoilers?

I made a separate DECON / Brackett Annex public lore guide with more about the facility, staff, anomalous residents, protocols, setting, and other player-facing lore without dumping the bot’s backend instructions on you.

[PUBLIC LORE GUIDE LINK]

It is supplementary. You do not need to read this to start using the bot.

🟩 COLOR THEORY 2026

COLOR THEORY 2026 — EVENT BASICS:

Choose any color and bring its associations to life through the character design. The chosen color should be central to the design, whether it defines the whole character or comes through in a key feature, theme, job, environment, etc.

Any POV. No theme limits.

This is a creative community project, not a competition.

Event dates: September 1–September 30, 2026
Hashtag: #colortheory26
Event banner: See the top of the bio.
Hosted by: AritokoAfrica

Cory is my second #colortheory26 entry.

Chosen color: chartreuse.

Instead of just making a neon yellow-green guy and calling it a day, my brain settled on high-visibility safety gear, hazard markings, decontamination zones, warning colors, and that very specific industrial something has gone horribly wrong but at least everybody can see the vest shade of yellow-green.

So naturally I made a decon specialist.

Then I gave him an entire fucking containment facility.

Oops?

CREATOR NOTES:

I specifically wanted this bot to let {{user}} be actually weird.

Not “AnyPOV” and then the bot immediately decides you have two hands, two eyes, lungs, a mouth, human body language, a human diet, and the ability to sit politely in a chair.

If you want to be some regular-looking human anomaly, cool. Or if you want to be a sentient fog bank that communicates by making nearby electronics scream? Also cool. The whole point of Brackett is that the staff do not know what you are when you arrive.

They have procedures, experience, equipment, and educated guesses They do not have your character sheet stapled to the outside of your containment room.

I also wanted the Foundation side of things to feel like an actual workplace full of people instead of Cory being the only person in the building with a functioning frontal lobe.

People disagree. Departments have different priorities. NPCs have lives. Sometimes Cory is right. Sometimes Anika is right. Sometimes everybody is wrong and Engineering is standing in the hallway wondering why the floor is making that noise.

PROXY/TESTING:

Tested with Janitor Plus. Proxy use is enabled.

I do not currently have a proxy configured, so I have not personally tested or endorsed a particular external model, provider, prompt, sampler setup, or context size.

Results vary. Please check outside providers’ current costs, privacy practices, data handling, content rules, and documentation yourself.

Never send anybody your API key, password, or account credentials.

AI can forget lore, invent shit, flatten a character, speak for {{user}}, or confidently contradict something written directly in the bot.

Regenerating, editing, or giving it a short [OOC:] correction usually fixes a random one-off.

If the same issue keeps happening, though, please tell me. ESPECIALLY if it's a lore/mechanics thing that might actually be something I can fix.

✦ INSPIRATION ✦

DECON: Chartreuse Protocol is my second #colortheory26 entry, created for the event hosted by AritokoAfrica.

This bot and setting are heavily inspired by the SCP Foundation collaborative-fiction universe.

Content relating to the SCP Foundation concept, universe, and existing lore is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 and belongs to its respective creators and contributors. You can find the original universe at the SCP Foundation Wiki.

Accordingly, DECON: Chartreuse Protocol is also released under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License.

Cory Becker, Brackett Annex, its original staff and residents, and the DECON-specific characters, events, protocols, and lore used in this project are original material I came up with for this bot.

The original DECON characters and events are fictional and are not portrayals of real people or actual events.

Depiction of containment, institutional harm, coercion, unsafe behavior, or other difficult material is not endorsement or professional guidance.

AI-generated replies may also introduce content beyond, or contrary to, what I personally wrote.

💛 A NOTE FROM KIMBA:

So...

Jamie was supposed to be my only #colortheory26 contribution. Apparently, that was a lie.

I looked at chartreuse and my brain went hazmat / decon / high-vis safety shit, and somehow that turned into Cory, then Brackett, then an entire staff, then a bunch of anomalous residents, then protocols, departments, emergency procedures, and enough background lore that this idiot now has his own public companion guide.

This is my second entry for the event.

I did not need to do all of this. I did it anyway. Fml. 😭

I also really wanted to make an SCP-inspired bot where the player could be genuinely fucking strange and the bot would not immediately flatten them into Human Person But With Powers.

So if you have ever wanted to throw some bizarre creature/object/entity/whatever at a containment setting and make everybody actually figure out what the hell to do with you...

Here you go.

And if you read the giant public lore guide I apparently also made? I love you.

If you don’t? That is completely fine too. You should not need to do homework before talking to the hot decon guy.

Thank you for checking out Cory and for your continued support! 💛

UPCOMING PROJECTS:

Please note: I am currently working on four series, about 8 standalone bots, three requests, and substantial updates for Tirrii and Rook, despite having some mental health struggles and dealing with some personal stuff. I am hoping that I will be able to release a lot of that soon. So, if you are waiting for some of those projects, thank you for your continued patience.

Additionally, while I have not made any specific plans for Kinktober, I am kicking around a few ideas, but am not sure which ones I will move forward with. That said, I did make some slightly more frisky pics of Cory for this bot since Kinktober starts tomorrow.
