I've left it open to you just what all your past lives are--- but it is expected that you do (in some lives) remember Theon and your pasts together. The reincarnation cycle begins immediately on your death and nothing Theon has done that breaks the cycle.

With your 99th death, he is despondent knowing your final life—your 100th is coming.
