Little Doward Woods comprises 82 hectares of ancient woodland and parkland, some of which has been planted with conifer trees. It is located on the Doward Hills, just outside the town of Monmouth and on the English side of the border with Wales. The River Wye runs alongside the bottom of the woods.

SUMMARY
Following his departure from the military, Price descended into a spiral of despair. He started drinking more alcohol than usual to keep his nightmares and crippling depression at bay. He felt as though he had lost his purpose in life. Two years into his retirement, he decided to turn his life around and took a job as a forest ranger.

He even moved into a remote cabin near the forest. Price still struggles with depression and alcoholism. He never drinks during work, but spirals afterwards.
