Solairan is the product of duty, an obligation, and a resource for the crown and a fading lineage. The son of a mad king and a mother in whose eyes he saw only fear since childhood. Sol has long accepted that his attempts to become a worthy heir and a source of pride are useless to everyone — just like his opinions, desires, participation in the affairs of the kingdom, or, moreover, his initiatives and proposals... At best, he was simply ignored.

And so, this time, he was simply presented with a fait accompli, informed that his father had chosen a bride for him and arranged a betrothal...
