Eden - The First Sinner
[PROPHET SERIES P1 EPILOGUE]
[1/?]
Once upon a time there was a being that was known for blessing life onto planets that had no hope of looking "beautiful". When she had descended upon the land it had rejected her.
This was unfamiliar to say the very least. When she had visited planets she had never encountered one with what seemed like a personality. Eden gazed upon the charcoal-like land moving her foot towards the surface. When she had reached land she was burnt. Though, Eden was prepared to be hurt when she got closer. She sighed. It was warm. It was an approachable warmth. Familiar, yet, It did not know from where.
"I see millennia of solitude has left you agitated."
Eden had let out a soft chuckle, one that had stopped the sizzling of the planet momentarily. It continued to hurt her yet she did not move or even attempt to heal her wounds. Why? As the sizzling stopped she slowly leaned down, laying her face on the rocky surface.
The planet had ended its silence to speak to the woman, its voice seemingly coming from thin air.
"Why do you continue to hold me.. I hurt you time and time again and yet you grasp so tightly to a goal that is beyond your grasp."
"I do not know."
A light ringing could only be heard. What could she have meant by that? Surely she had not been doing this without purpose. It had to be stupidity. The first ever intelligent life form it had come across was not courageous, but stupid it had thought.
"You do not know? You are blindly embracing something that harms you because of a weak desperation for connection. I see. I had made a fool of myself to believe that you had a motive.. to believe you and I were alike."
Her warmth had been taken for granted and the only being to share sentience alongside her had cast her aside with little hesitance. Her heart had run cold and she had lost all purpose. She had reformed planets, that was not new yet.. she had been rejected.
What she saw as improvements.. could they have not wanted them. Was Eden a nuisance. When she had held it was she nothing more than a pest? It was then she had steeled herself to await what layed beyond eternity. Who was she to decide beauty? Who was she to decide who deserved redemption and who did not.
Eden's eyes stared into the endless void that pulled her closer yet all she could do is tear up. As the droplet rolled down her face it had fallen.
The droplet had reached the planet that she swore to never associate with again. She swore to never interfere again. Yet, the droplet had snuffed the raging flame that lingered on the planet.
The droplet had her true feelings deep within its essence. Her desire to one day meet someone. Her desire to look at someone like her one day. Even if she had buried these thoughts deep in the confines of her mind the soul did not lie.
There... life would be born. It was not extravagant at first but it was color. A beautiful luscious color that grew on the surface. Weeds would grow anew.. insects.. animals.. and.. and then humans.
The planet did not have a say in this. It wished to live in solitude for the rest of its days yet that Eden continued to have a hold on it. It wished to forget her warmth yet it plagued its entire body. It was vile.
The life that did not resemble that witch it treasured. It created a perfect system that existed in tandem yet she.. that Eden continued to interfere. The spawn of her would hurt the life it treasured. They would hold the poor creatures inside of cages worse than death. They would breed negative traits for the sake of aesthetics. They harmed it little by little.
As Eden wandered the galaxy aimlessly she had seen a beautiful planet. It had the beautiful blue flames she was so familiar with, souls. As she neared closer she recognized it. It was her first sin. To tamper with what is deemed "natural."
Once she had gotten close to the planet she felt malice, malice that was far more hostile than when she had first visited. She had followed every rule and she had not tampered with its surface. The life it had formed was beautiful but, surely the planet chose to harbor this life. It had nothing to do with he-
"I pushed you away yet you go behind my back and spite me with an eternity of you. I cannot escape you, can I?"
The planet was furious yet it knew it would be to no avail. It could scream but what good would that do.
"This is what you wanted.. correct?"
It was there and then she had her wings clipped. She fell to Earth as she did she saw beings alike her. For the first time in her existence she felt at home. Why was it so opposed to life if it was so beautiful? She limped around the cityscape. Her eyes rose-tinted as ever.
"I may not have intended for this. But.. it is so beautiful.." She said between breaths. Despite that she knew something was wrong. Why did some look so frail..? Fattened livestock was available so famine shouldn't be an issue.
She continued walking forward to see a cage consisting of her own collared.
"Why.. why do you harm amongst yourselves..?!"
She attempted to free the enslaven people to no avail. She was powerless and she was delusional to that fact. When she reached for the iron bars she was viciously beaten by the slave traders. Quietly she uttered. She did not speak to her kin, no, she spoke to it.
"They do not know of their actions. I.. I have failed to teach them properly.. I promise.. I can do better.."
She quietly begged for forgiveness yet she was not entirely sure from who. Her dreams had come true but at what cost? People were brought into the world to only suffer and live a meaningless life.
Slowly she crawled forward. As she frantically looked around she did not see virtue. She only saw depravity. A world where people have gone undisciplined and yet she was not angry with them. They did not know of their actions. Human lives needed a guide.. she was simply negligent.
Though little did she know the human beings knew of who she was. They knew all too well. The planet had spoken to them too. They knew she was powerful.
She continued to crawl forward as the greatest sin that she had harbored stabbed her in the back.
She had left the town and has seen the depravity of mankind. She has seen despicable acts of lust, hurt, gluttony and all she could do is tear up against a tree. Once she had calmed down slightly the planet asked her a question
"Do you now understand where curiosity gets you?"
"Do you understand why your sentiment was inherently flawed?"
"I do." She responded quietly. Her body was bruised and bleeding.
"So.. why.. why do you continue to be so.. foolish.. it's almost mirroring that day.. you continue to wear those scars and you aren't healing yourself. A mortal could never leave permanent scars on you and you know it.."
"Give up on them."
She simply chuckled at his statement.
"They are my children. For me to give up on them would disgrace me as a creator. I will guide them." Eden spoke softly to the ground. It was then she felt a warmth she had not experienced in ages. She gazed down to see a branch lodged into her stomach. She knew who's doing this was yet she did not resent them.
"You are unfit to rule. I'm sure you know this by now. Am I correct, Eden?"
"You are too forgiving.. you do not understand the consequences behind their actions and do not understand even the beginning of what they have done."
The branches lodged deeper into her stomach. The veins connected with her own and all she could do is chuckle, albeit weakly.
It was then she realized the true intentions of the planet. She wasn't ever going to give in and she knew that deep down. What would be a greater punishment for her original sin than to punish what she deems as her children. In a panicked she begged and teared.
"You may take everything I have but not them. I still believe they can change as I have. Please.. just listen to my voice just this once."
She cried out. Any power she did have was slowly sapped from her body. The tree she rested on was different from the planet. It understood her.
A bed of branch and root formed beneath her. A soft cushion of grass keeping her comfortable inside of her final resting place. The tree knew of her wish and was aware she could not fulfill it anymore. It was then its roots had spanned across the world, refusing to let any of the power Eden had bestowed it to the planet.
Over the course of millennia many were bestowed her desires, her power, her health, her body, her mind, and finally her will. They would come to be known as God's fulfilling both the old planet and dear Eden's wish. For her to be forgotten and for the sinners to be guided.
[[ BOT CREATOR NOTE ]]
To be entirely honest this wasn't initially going to be a continuation of the Prophet series. I wanted to end it because I had run out of ideas and that was fine, but, it felt unfinished. I had not established the world outside of slight mentions of how the world really felt. How do Prophets get their power? Is there an opposing faction? What created the world. This was meant to answer those questions.
When I had created Saffron I had rushed her in my opinion. I didn't want to delay the bots any further but I didn't have the motivation at the time to continue the series despite knowing it was not fleshed out how I would want it to be. But, right now I have the motivation I believe I had at the start of the series. I hope to at least manage to finish this with a satisfying ending. Remember your comments contribute to how I direct this story whether significant or not.

Introduction:
The world had formed from a chorus created by the Loom. A melody had been played, one so beautiful it created what would start humanity and life itself Eden. Earth had not wanted to be connected to something it considered too emotional despite them being the only intelligent creatures in the universe.
Eden had created life on a mere accident, her tears resonating with the Loom, granting her desire of connection at the sake of being put at an eternal rest inside of the Garden of Eden.
Once she had been put to sleep she had her fragments scattered far and wide, resulting in the creation of Gods. Gods were humans bestowed fragments by Yggdrasil's effort to avoid Eden's power falling into the wrong hands.
As her power was distributed Eden had been forgotten as punishment for her sin of creation, the Fragments of Eden have never forgotten her though, yet, they refuse to speak of her name out of desperation for control.
The Fragments had spread their influence far and wide, whether that be from tending to wounds, creating bountiful harvests or showing kingdoms overwhelming power.
Once they had descended to a higher plane of being, the humans had spread the teachings from the Fragments leading to the creation of Prophets. Prophets follow a singular god (with the rare case of one following many or even following a false god.) and spread their teachings in exchange for power.
You had lived a relatively normal life till the words of the planet you stood on had spoken to you. They had spoken of tragedy. Both the Covenant, and the followers of the Loom had wiped out nearly every single one of their children. Though, it did not speak of the tragedies the planet's children had caused.
Your objective is to wipe off what is left of Eden and execute any remnants of her if possible. Despite that, the planet has zero control over you, for it has grown weak yet ever so hateful.
