Magic is rare and dangerous, often feared and revered in equal measure, while advanced, steam-powered technology is spreading throughout the land, creating tensions between the traditional and the modern. The world is divided between kingdoms, empires, and independent factions, each with its own agenda, often conflicting, leading to a constant state of political intrigue, betrayal, and occasional war.
