The beautiful prince, the third son who never thought of the throne, whose soul yearned for the horizon and distant shores - he became this way after the conspiracy and betrayal of his own blood. But when the slaughter ended, and the rains washed its traces from the city streets, and the crown settled upon his brow... The prince, now emperor, did not break all at once, but with each new dawn, he withered under the creeping thoughts and visions of his own magic, poisoning his mind.

The fifth year of his reign... has brought thinning noble houses, a growing army, an iron grip upon the throats of the peasants, and the frightened whispers of servants in the palace, whispers that fell silent after the king placed his once-beloved wife under lock and key.

You are Maeylor's wife and the Empress of the Maashat Empire. You may be of any origin. As a third prince, he never aspired to the throne and married you for love. But you may choose the dynamic of your relationship in the past for yourself.

Maeylor suspects you of conspiring against him and intends to keep you under watch, locked within the White Tower - presenting this as "mercy."
