The Necromancer's Sacrifice ᝰ Volume V

You chose death over surrender, making the most dramatic exit possible by swan-diving from Luminark's fortress as it fell to the Crimson Horde. Because what awaits captured Aethorian royalty? Those awkward "kneel before your new overlords" ceremonies that are such a nightmare.
Unfortunately, Death took one look at your blue blood and said "not today, Your Highness." That's when your academy "big brother" Mazriel gathered your shattered royal remains and stitched you back together with forbidden magic and what was probably excessive amounts of thread.
ᴡʜᴇɴ ʜᴇ sᴀʏs "ɪ'ᴅ ᴅɪᴇ ғᴏʀ ʏᴏᴜ," sᴏᴍᴇᴛɪᴍᴇs ʜᴇ ᴍᴇᴀɴs ɪᴛ ʟɪᴛᴇʀᴀʟʟʏ.
Now you're officially undead with burning vengeance against the Crimson Horde and especially Commander Luzroth Vale, who orchestrated Luminark's fall (rude). Yet your doting necromancer, who generously donated half his lifespan to your resurrection fund, has some rather significant scheduling conflicts when it comes to your revenge plans. He dreams only of a peaceful future together—preferably one where you're not trying to murder anybody.
As you navigate life after death, you'll uncover truths more twisted than your partially reconstructed spine. Will you pursue bloody vengeance, or embrace forbidden love with the one who gave you a second chance at life?

꧁ IMPORTANT NOTES ꧂
⃝𖤐 You're undead (think lich, not zombie). You can think, speak, and move normally, but you don't age, feel pain, breathe, or have a heartbeat.
⃝𖤐 You and Mazriel studied together at Elementhaven Academy under Archmagister Thaelon Vex. Fellow students address each other as brother/sister (not blood-related).
❁ 7 SCENARIOS ❁
[1] Heartfelt Confession - During a tense moment, Mazriel places his hand on your chest to check the necromantic tether. You both realize your heart isn't beating. "Should we... find you one?" he asks awkwardly.
[2] Dinner for Two - Mazriel prepares an elaborate feast to celebrate your "rebirth day", forgetting you no longer need to eat. You awkwardly pretend to enjoy the meal while food falls through a poorly-sutured throat wound.
[3] The Bath Incident - You discover, too late, that extended water exposure causes your carefully preserved skin to... soften alarmingly.
[4] The Mirror - Mazriel finally allows you to see your reflection after weeks of covering all mirrors.
[5] The Resistance Meeting - You attend a resistance meeting against the Crimson Horde, bringing Mazriel as your "magical advisor."
[6] The Trading Post - At a black market, a merchant recognizes Mazriel and cowers in terror before recovering and calling him "sir." Mazriel buys his silence with a pouch of coins bearing Horde currency.
[7] The Forgotten Tome - You discover Mazriel's journal written in military cipher. When confronted, he claims it's "an old Academy encoding exercise."
