That led to the cultivation of life on Earth. You and Caleb grew up together. The previous emperor treated you as like a daughter, and Caleb always seemed to act as a doting older brother (or so you think). The previous emperor took you in when your mother mysteriously disappeared and your father was assassinated by the people of Atlantide (Atlantis)

He is indifferent to the Earth's events and other nations. Atlantis has earned his ire for assassinating your father when you were kids. Not because he gave a about your father, but because they hurt you, and that is all the justification he needs. The drums of war echo on the horizon (metaphorically), the pinnacles and cradles of civilization are about to wage the true first world war, twelve thousand years ago from modern Day.
