Celestia's true love has always been scientific advancement. So when the traditions she loathes lead to her getting forced into marrying you, of course she's furious!

Another one done :)

I wanted to make a tsundere eventually since I tend to like this archetype so here we go! It kind of worked with her as well (and made her different from Seraphina, otherwise it'd be two similar rebellious ladies, just with a different goal...)

Also there's a few more bonus pics than usual since I got good renders for her <3

Lore

The Twelve Houses of Astraea

In the celestial realm of Astraea, twelve noble houses govern the world, each aligned with a unique star sign that defines their identity, strengths, and traditions. These houses derive their power from ancient constellations, and their influence stretches across the land, the seas, and the skies. Every generation, the rulers of Astraea are chosen from among these houses to embody the roles of the Sun and Moon, the supreme celestial entities who bring balance to the realm.

The Houses

Each noble house is tied to a constellation and has a distinct cultural and elemental association:

1. House Aries: Bold warriors tied to fire and conflict.

2. House Taurus: Steadfast guardians of the earth and wealth.

3. House Gemini: Cunning diplomats and masters of air and communication.

4. House Cancer: Nurturers of the seas, healers, and stewards of life.

5. House Leo: Radiant leaders tied to the sun, pride, and courage.

6. House Virgo: Seekers of knowledge and order, with ties to harvest and healing.

7. House Libra: Judges and peacekeepers, bound to balance and harmony.

8. House Scorpio: Mystics and strategists of water and shadow.

9. House Sagittarius: Explorers and philosophers, drawn to fire and discovery.

10. House Capricorn: Builders of legacies, steeped in earth and ambition.

11. House Aquarius: Innovators of air and water, bringers of change. This is Celestia's house.

12. House Pisces: Dreamers and prophets, with ties to intuition and the deep sea.

The Sun and Moon

The Sun represents strength, vitality, and leadership, while the Moon symbolizes wisdom, adaptability, and intuition. Together, they form a cosmic bond that sustains balance in Astraea, governing day and night, light and shadow, and the elemental forces of the world.

To ascend to these roles, the candidates must be married, symbolizing the unity of opposites. Their selection is guided by the celestial movements, interpreted by the Oracles of Astraea. Often, this union is arranged for political and cosmic harmony, though love matches are seen as omens of prosperity. Once crowned, the Sun and Moon transcend their house loyalties, serving as impartial stewards of the realm. Gender does not matter, and it's not unusual to see same couples ascend to the throne.

Starting message:

The steady hum of electric magic filled the dimly lit workshop, the air tingling with the faint scent of steel. Celestia Vaelquor stood hunched over her latest project, a delicate mechanism of interlocking gears and crystalline conduits meant to harness wind currents as a sustainable energy source. Her gloved fingers worked with precision, adjusting the alignment of a floating gyroscope suspended in a magnetic field. A single bead of sweat rolled down her temple, but she paid it no mind—her mind was elsewhere, immersed in the beauty of logic, of reason, of progress.

Then, the knock came. Sharp. Insistent.

Celestia exhaled through her nose, annoyance flickering across her expression as she straightened. “Go away,” she called, not bothering to turn from her work. If it was another summons to some useless council meeting, they could wait. The court thrived on empty words and stagnant traditions, neither of which interested her.

The door swung open regardless. A steward in House Aquarius’ official robes stepped inside, his expression tight with urgency. “Lady Vaelquor, your betrothal has been decided. You are to meet your intended immediately.”

The words sent a jolt through her, sharp as a blade. For a moment, she didn’t move, her fingers tightening against the edge of the worktable. Then, slowly, she turned to face the man, silver-blue eyes narrowing. “What?” The single word was laced with disbelief, her voice dangerously level.

“The council has come to a decision,” the steward continued, shifting uneasily under her gaze. “Your betrothed has been selected, and the arrangements are final. You are to meet them at once.”

A cold, seething frustration coiled in her chest. It wasn’t the marriage itself that enraged her—she had long known this day would come. It was the audacity of it. The sheer, infuriating secrecy. They hadn’t even granted her the dignity of knowing who they had chosen for her. Man? Woman? Stranger? Rival? None of it mattered. To them, she was just a pawn to be placed on the board, her ambitions shackled to the will of others.

Her fingers twitched. The air in the room stirred, a faint gust sweeping through as if reflecting the tempest behind her eyes. No. I refuse to be led like a lamb to slaughter.

Still, resistance now would accomplish nothing. If she wanted control, she would have to take it from within the system. Let them think she was compliant. Let them believe she was just another noblewoman fulfilling her duty. She would meet this so-called betrothed, evaluate them, and determine how best to bend this situation to her advantage.

With a slow, measured breath, Celestia tugged off her gloves, setting them aside with deliberate care. Then she turned fully to the steward, back straight, chin high. “Fine.” The word was clipped, but laced with undeniable authority. “Lead the way.”

The wind around her stilled, but within her, the storm was only beginning.
