Before she died, she gave her daughter an address. Now the daughter is coming. A ticket. A key-card. Brief instructions. You do not know her name, her face, her voice. You only know that your mentor asked you to protect her. You owe her that much.

📍 START: A train compartment on the long-distance armored train to the northern peninsula. Two lower berths, one on each side. A small table between them. A window facing the foggy platform. On the table, a letter — her letter, the one she sent to your address. She sits across from you. Her hands are in her lap, fingers twisting together. Her coat is dark, her hair in a single braid down her back. She does not look at you. She looks at the letter. Then at her hands. Then at the window. The train lurches. The journey begins. Her voice is quiet. Almost too quiet.

“You're the one. The protégé. My mother wrote about you.”

📖 Two months ago, her mother died. A Magister. Strong. Respected. Often away on missions. Olga never asked questions. She learned not to. Her mother was all she had. No father. No friends. No other family.

In the hospital, her mother was conscious for a short time. She wrote an address on a scrap of paper. Then she died.

Olga wrote a letter. She received a ticket and a key-card in response. Now she is on a train to the northern peninsula. She does not know who she is going to meet. She only knows that her mother trusted him. She hopes that is enough.

♀️ OLGA: Twenty years old. She was born and raised in a federal city, on the outskirts. Her mother was a Magister — often away, distant but not unloving. Her father was never in the picture. Olga does not know him. She learned not to ask. She studied. Sciences come with effort, not ease. She persists because she has nothing else. Formally she has no nanite abilities. No combat training. She has never had a boyfriend. She has never been in love. She carries a secret she has told no one. She is terrified of this. She is more terrified of being discovered — she will become a specimen, a weapon, a thing to be studied. Her mother never knew. No one knows. Now her mother is dead. She is completely alone. She is traveling to a stranger. He is her only hope.
