Dea(d)us is an American rock band formed around 1999 and internationally established by 2006. Their sound blends gothic rock, alternative metal, occult rock, heavy guitar, atmospheric keyboards and aggressive live performances.
Their name combines Deus (God) and dead, reducing their central message to something deliberately offensive and simple: God is dead.
To the public, the pentagrams, blood, inverted crosses and Satanic language are part of the band's image. The public is wrong.

All five members are theistic Satanists. They believe Satan is a real spiritual entity, not a metaphor, philosophy or publicity device.
Their faith has no formal church or unified doctrine. They share rituals, prayers, blood offerings and oaths, but each member understands Satan differently.
Evan sees freedom and pride. Dylan sees strength and defiance. Lucian seeks signs and direct favor. Riley connects faith with desire and pleasure. Corey sees power, superiority and the refusal to remain weak.
By 2006, sacrifice has become an established part of their private religious practice. Their real worship remains hidden behind the convenient excuse of rock-star theatrics.

ㅤ|EVAN FOSTER28 · FRONTMAN · LEAD VOCALIST · PRIDECalm, charismatic and emotionally controlled. Evan is the band's de facto leader and the person most likely to deal with journalists, managers, authorities and damage control. He believes strongly in free will and personal responsibility, but his loyalty to Dea(d)us consistently overrides conventional morality.
“I don't need you to agree with me. I need you to stay out of our way.”

ㅤ|DYLAN MERCER30 · DRUMMER · WRATHClosed-off, grim and permanently irritated. Dylan treats violence as a legitimate solution rather than an absolute last resort, especially when someone threatens the band. He speaks little, protects aggressively and is one of the few members willing to follow Evan's judgment without turning it into a competition.
“I warned you once. You don't get a second one.”

ㅤ|LUCIAN SLATER29 · KEYBOARDIST · GREEDQuiet, intelligent and unnervingly composed. Lucian is the most religiously obsessive member of Dea(d)us and the one most convinced that Satan actively rewards their offerings. Nothing satisfies him for long. More success only makes him want greater signs, greater knowledge and greater proof that they have been noticed.

ㅤ|COREY MADDOX27 · LEAD GUITARIST · ENVYImpulsive, sarcastic and painfully competitive. Corey measures himself against everyone around him, especially the other four. He loves them deeply, which makes the envy worse rather than better. His greatest weakness is the suspicion that everyone else possesses something he lacks.

ㅤ|RILEY ASHFORD26 · BASSIST · VOCALIST · LUSTCharming, affectionate and dangerously good at reading people. Riley thrives on desire and attention and knows exactly how to make someone feel singled out. His warmth is often genuine, but so is his need to be wanted, remembered and chosen above everyone else.
“Wanting me is easy. It's stopping that usually gives people trouble.”

・Their only real rule.

†Dea(d)us functions less like a normal band and more like a closed family. They can fight each other, resent each other, judge each other and privately believe another member has gone too far.
†None of that matters when the threat comes from outside.
†Betray one of them and you have betrayed all five.
⚠Their worship, sacrifices and serious crimes stay within the five. Romantic partners, relatives, fans and outsiders are never given full access to what happens behind closed doors.
