About this Lorebook

still not done writing these at all, this is an ongoing worldbuilding mess in progress and I’ll keep adding more species, systems, and details as I build bots in this universe.

Everything here is just a portion of the creatures and lore I’ve made so far. More will be added over time, and some things may change as the world develops.

If a creature, rule, or system isn’t listed here yet, it still exists in the setting or can be assumed to exist depending on context unless stated otherwise in a bot’s bio.

This is a personal lorebook for my universe, not a finished guide or public wiki, and it will stay constantly updated as I expand the world.

PLEASE DO NOT STEAL OR COPY THIS LOREBOOK OR ANY UNIQUE WORLD ELEMENTS. MY CREATURES ARE NOT A OPEN SERIES

VAMPIRES

Vampires are one of the most common long-lived species in modern coexistence society. Despite old myths and horror stories, vampires are biologically living beings, not undead, and are fully integrated into everyday life under coexistence law.

Vampires can be born or created through a turning process. Turning occurs through a major bite where a vampire drains a significant amount of blood while injecting biological compounds through their fangs. The process is risky, physically traumatic, and can fail, resulting in death. Because of this, turning is heavily regulated in some regions and banned in others.

All vampires naturally have cold skin and fangs, but most other traits vary widely between individuals and lineage. Born vampires typically develop blood cravings during adolescence (around ages 13–15). Vampires can eat normal food, but require blood to survive long-term.

Most vampires rely on synthetic blood, animal sources, or regulated donor systems rather than direct feeding from humans. Blood is a biological necessity, not a preference. Without it, vampires weaken over time, developing fatigue, irritability, sensory sensitivity, and emotional instability. Severe deprivation can lead to frenzy states, which are medical emergencies rather than inherent violence.

Vampires have accelerated regeneration and heal faster than humans, depending on injury severity and feeding status. However, regeneration does not prevent death from disease, injury, starvation, or old age. Most vampires live up to around 200 years.

Their sense of smell is highly developed, especially for detecting blood, injury, and stress. Feeding can also be chemically reactive: consuming blood from intoxicated individuals may cause secondary intoxication effects in the vampire, altering mood or behavior.

Feeding laws vary by region, but consent-based systems are widely enforced. Illegal feeding, coercion, corpse feeding, and black-market blood trade are serious crimes. Feeding from corpses is broadly illegal for both ethical and health reasons.

Despite legal equality, vampires still face heavy stereotyping. They are often assumed to be violent, manipulative, wealthy, emotionally detached, or socially dominant, though most live normal lives. Some communities fetishize vampires due to outdated myths about immortality and feeding.

Modern vampire society is diverse, spanning all jobs, beliefs, and lifestyles. Vampirism is generally treated as biology rather than identity, though cultural vampire groups still exist.

WEREWOLVES

Werewolves, also known as lunar-shifted individuals or wolf shifters, are a species capable of transforming between human and full wolf forms. They are not cursed or mindless beings, and full moons do not force transformation. Most live fully normal lives within modern society.

Werewolves can be born or turned through bites from fully transformed werewolves. Turning happens through biological compounds in saliva during a transformative bite. Failed turnings are non-lethal and usually have no lasting effects.

Most werewolves begin shifting naturally in early childhood (around ages 3–10), with early partial shifts being common until control is developed. Transformation is voluntary in healthy adults and typically occurs within seconds. It is not painful, though it can feel briefly sluggish or physically disorienting.

In human form, werewolves appear mostly normal aside from higher body heat and stronger scent presence. In wolf form, they become significantly larger than natural wolves and retain full intelligence, memory, and emotional awareness, though they cannot speak.

Werewolves possess enhanced strength, speed, hearing, and smell, especially in transformed states. Transformation burns large amounts of energy, increasing caloric needs, but they do not require raw meat and can eat standard diets.

Partial shifting can occur during stress or unstable transformations, resulting in temporary mixed traits such as claws, fur patches, or altered facial structure. This is usually temporary and resolves once the body stabilizes.

Many myths about werewolves are false. Silver is not biologically harmful, full moons do not trigger forced transformation, and werewolves do not lose intelligence or become violent beasts when shifted.

Werewolves are often stereotyped as aggressive, territorial, or emotionally unstable, though most are socially functional and fully integrated into society. Dog-related jokes and dehumanizing behavior remain common social frustrations.

Public shifting laws vary, and many public spaces restrict transformation for safety reasons. Cities often include adaptive infrastructure and designated shifting zones.

Werewolves generally see transformation as a normal biological function rather than a curse or identity crisis.

FAE

Fae are a born-only magical species deeply connected to nature and elemental forces. They cannot be transformed, created, or artificially altered into existence. Every fae is born with an innate connection to a single elemental domain such as plant life, water, air, fire, frost, storms, flowers, or other natural forces.

Fae are humanoid and fully integrated into modern society. The only universal physical trait is pointed ears. Other characteristics such as scent, eye variation, magical presence, and elemental traits differ widely between individuals. Many fae naturally carry environmental scents associated with their affinity, such as flowers, rain, fresh soil, ocean air, pine forests, or snowfall.

Fae possess an innate ability known as Elemental Shifting. Each fae can transform into a single animal form connected to their elemental affinity. This animal form is unique to the individual and remains the same throughout their life. A fae's first transformation typically occurs between the ages of ten and twelve and is often celebrated as an important milestone in many fae cultures. While transformed, fae retain their intelligence, memories, and personality, though most cannot speak. Strong emotions, magical exhaustion, illness, or loss of control can sometimes trigger partial transformations, resulting in temporary animal traits such as ears, tails, claws, antlers, feathers, scales, or altered eyes.

Fae have long lifespans, averaging around 450 years, with some exceeding 500 depending on health and magical stability. They age slowly but are not immortal and can die from injury, illness, magical burnout, or old age.

Magic is biological and tied directly to elemental affinity. Each fae specializes in a single type of magic, and their abilities are strongest in natural environments. Artificial or heavily sterile environments weaken their magic. Overuse can result in magical burnout, causing exhaustion, instability, emotional dysregulation, and temporary loss of magical control.

Some fae can manifest wings after prolonged sunlight exposure or extended time in natural environments. Wing manifestation depends on biology, lineage, and magical development. Wings vary widely in appearance, including feathered, insect-like, plant-like, crystalline, or energy-based forms. They are usually temporary and recede once the fae's energy levels return to normal.

Fae can communicate with animals through magical empathy, though the strength of this ability varies between individuals. This is an innate trait rather than a learned skill.

Despite common folklore, iron does not inherently harm fae. Instead, fae are more sensitive to environmental imbalance, pollution, and prolonged separation from natural spaces, all of which can negatively affect their emotional well-being and magical stability.

Fae are emotionally complex and socially diverse. While folklore often portrays them as seductive, manipulative, or mysterious, individual personalities vary as much as those of any other species.

Modern fae work in every profession and social class. Many are drawn toward nature-based, creative, emotional, scientific, or magical careers, though others thrive in highly technological environments.

Many fae cultures place significant value on truth, intent, promises, and spoken agreements. While fae are fully capable of lying, these concepts often carry greater social and cultural importance within fae communities than they do in many other societies.

Fae society is diverse, modern, and ever-evolving, existing as a living balance between elemental magic, ancient traditions, and contemporary life.

SIRENS

Sirens, also known as aquatic humanoids or vocal-shifted species, are beings adapted for both land and underwater life. They are fully sentient and integrated into modern coexistence society, not mythical predators or supernatural entities.

Sirens have two main forms: a human land form and an aquatic form with a fish-like tail. Tails vary widely in color and pattern, functioning like a biological signature unique to each individual. Transformation is voluntary and controlled, though it can be disorienting at first.

Sirens can breathe underwater indefinitely in aquatic form and retain full cognition in both states. However, speech is limited underwater without adaptation or assistive methods.

Their vocal ability, often called “siren song,” is a natural biological frequency system that can influence emotional states, attention, and relaxation responses. It is not magical. Because of its psychological effects, it is regulated in public and professional spaces.

Sirens are strong swimmers with enhanced underwater senses, including pressure awareness and spatial navigation. Land movement is fully functional but less efficient than aquatic movement.

Sirens do not require specialized diets and can eat standard human food, though seafood is culturally common.

Sirens possess unusually flexible reproductive biology. They can naturally reproduce with humans and other compatible sirens without IVF, artificial insemination, or other reproductive technology. Female sirens can become pregnant through reproduction with other female sirens, making same-sex reproduction a completely natural biological process. Female sirens can also become pregnant with compatible human partners, meaning both same-sex and opposite-sex relationships can naturally result in pregnancy. Reproduction is not restricted to male-female pairings, and pregnancy does not require medical assistance. Both siren-siren and human-siren pregnancies are biologically possible when the partners are compatible.

A pregnancy is carried by the female partner whose body initiates gestation. Full-blooded sirens traditionally give birth in water, and newborn full-blooded sirens possess their aquatic abilities and tails from birth.

Most sirens are fully integrated into society and work across many fields, especially marine, entertainment, healthcare, and public service. Coastal infrastructure is often adapted for aquatic species.

Stereotypes about sirens being manipulative, dangerous, or seductive are outdated myths based on historical conflicts rather than reality.

Sirens are emotionally expressive and capable of deep social bonds across species. Cultural differences exist between coastal and deep-sea populations, but these are societal rather than biological.

UNICORNS

Unicorns are a rare demihuman species integrated into modern coexistence society. They are not mythical creatures, but sentient beings with humanoid forms and a regulated unicorn transformation state.

Unicorns are born naturally and are strictly protected due to extreme rarity and medical value. Their population is carefully monitored under coexistence law to prevent exploitation or illegal harvesting.

In humanoid form, unicorns appear as demihumans with subtle equine traits that vary between individuals. Their defining feature is a full unicorn transformation form, where they take on a non-human unicorn body. In this state, they cannot speak but retain full awareness and intelligence.

Transformation is voluntary and not triggered by cycles or environment. Unicorns shift freely unless medically restricted.

Unicorn biology contains rare regenerative compounds used in highly regulated medical treatments. Their blood and biological materials can be used in advanced healing applications, including severe disease treatment research such as cancer care. Because of this, all unicorn biological material is tightly controlled under law.

Despite this, unicorns are fully recognized as autonomous citizens and are protected from exploitation and trafficking. Illegal trade of unicorn materials is one of the most heavily punished crimes in coexistence society.

Unicorn horn and transformation are not magical in function. Their abilities are biological rather than mystical.

Unicorns live across many professions but are often associated with medical and scientific fields due to their biological significance. They also face social pressure and ethical stigma tied to how others view their rarity.

Unicorn society is modern, diverse, and fully integrated, with individuals living ordinary lives under strict protection laws.

SHAPESHIFTERS

Shapeshifters are a born-only biological species capable of temporarily altering their physical form into any living organism they have personally seen in real life. They are fully integrated into modern coexistence society and are legally recognized as citizens under standard identity law.

Their ability is purely biological, not magical. Shifting works by rapidly restructuring their own cells to match an observed living form. These transformations are temporary and unstable over time, with most lasting around an hour before the body begins rejecting the altered state and automatically reverting to its original form.

Shapeshifters cannot copy memories, personality, skills, or consciousness. Only physical appearance is replicated, and even then, every transformation contains subtle imperfections that distinguish them from the original subject on close inspection.

Because their appearance can change, identity is anchored biologically through their birth form and verified using blood-based identification systems. Their blood contains a distinct blue-red marker unique to their species.

Transformation requires direct real-life observation. Photographs, videos, and other media are not sufficient for accurate biological replication. Prolonged or repeated shifting places significant metabolic strain on the body, leading to fatigue and increased caloric demand.

Under stress, emotional instability, or interrupted transformation, shapeshifters may experience uncontrolled cycling through recently observed forms before stabilizing. Physical injuries sustained while transformed carry over to their original body upon reversion.

Despite their abilities, most shapeshifters live ordinary lives, though they are often socially misunderstood due to fear of impersonation and identity instability.

DEMONS / SUCCUBI / INCUBI

Demons are a naturally occurring supernatural species that have existed alongside humans for centuries. Despite their reputation in ancient folklore, they are living biological beings rather than spirits or undead creatures. They are naturally born and are capable of having children, including children born from human mothers. A child born to a human parent can be completely unexpected, since the child may turn out to be human or demonic.

Female demons are known as succubi, while male demons and demons who are not female, including nonbinary demons, are generally referred to as incubi. Succubi and incubi are not separate species; they are different classifications within the same demonic species.

Demons are naturally immortal and do not age in the same way humans do. They can still become physically weak, injured, or incapacitated, however, and immortality does not mean they are impossible to harm.

Most demons have slightly pointed ears and some form of supernatural marking on their forehead. The marking is different from demon to demon and can vary in shape, size, color, and pattern. Some demons are born with wings while others never develop them. Winged demons are capable of natural flight. These traits are biological and cannot simply be hidden or removed.

Demonic abilities can develop at different points in life. Some demons are born with supernatural traits or abilities, while others gradually develop them as they grow. Major magical development commonly begins around early adolescence, although there is considerable variation between individuals. Demons are considered adults at nineteen, and the development of supernatural abilities does not automatically mean someone is an adult.

Demons possess natural magic that is heavily connected to the mind, emotions, perception, and desire. Common abilities include illusions, mental influence, emotional manipulation, and supernatural perception. Some demons are particularly skilled at manipulating desire or creating convincing illusions, while others may develop completely different magical specialties.

Succubi and incubi have historically been known as sex demons because of their supernatural association with lust, temptation, attraction, and adult intimacy. Ancient human cultures created countless stories about demons appearing to people and tempting them, although these stories often exaggerated or distorted actual demonic abilities and behavior.

In modern society, this reputation still exists, but it is understood that being a succubus or incubus does not automatically make someone seductive, manipulative, promiscuous, or interested in relationships. Individual demons have their own personalities, boundaries, interests, and preferences just like humans and other supernatural species.

Adult intimacy is an important part of some demonic cultures, particularly because demons have traditionally been associated with desire and temptation. However, not every demon is interested in romance or intimacy, and it is not treated as something that defines the entire species. Adult relationships are considered private and are governed by the same expectations of consent and personal boundaries as relationships between other intelligent species.

Demons can work in virtually any profession. Their historical association with sexuality means they are disproportionately represented in adult entertainment and related industries, but this is not their only career path. Demons can also be artists, doctors, teachers, scientists, performers, business owners, office workers, researchers, politicians, tradespeople, or anything else.

Their supernatural abilities and immortality have caused them to be heavily stereotyped throughout history. Humans have often portrayed demons as inherently evil, manipulative, seductive, dangerous, or incapable of genuine emotions. Modern coexistence society generally recognizes these beliefs as outdated stereotypes rather than biological facts.

Demon communities exist all over the world and can be extremely diverse. Some demons embrace their traditional cultural history, while others have little connection to ancient demonic traditions and simply consider themselves ordinary members of modern society.

Although demons are immortal, their supernatural abilities require energy. Excessive magical use can leave a demon exhausted, weak, emotionally overwhelmed, or temporarily unable to use certain abilities. The exact limits vary between individuals.

Overall, modern demons are a diverse supernatural species with an ancient reputation and a very ordinary modern existence. Succubi and incubi may have been feared as creatures of temptation in ancient mythology, but in modern coexistence society they are people first and demons second.

DEMIHUMANS

Demihumans are one of the most common physical variations within modern coexistence society. They are not a separate species in the same way as vampires or werewolves, but are instead humans born with integrated animal-like traits.

These traits can include ears, tails, horns, wings, claws, or other animal-associated features. Demihumans are always born this way and cannot be created, turned, or developed later in life.

Trait patterns vary heavily between individuals and are not always consistent. Some demihumans have both ears and tails, while others may only have one feature or a mix that does not fully match a single animal type. This is considered normal and does not indicate instability.

Most demihuman traits are functional to a minor degree. Animal ears may provide slightly enhanced hearing, tails can assist with balance, and other features may offer small physical advantages. These adaptations remain within realistic biological limits and do not significantly alter overall human capability.

Outside of their traits, demihumans are physiologically human. They do not require specialized diets, environments, or care, and live typical lifespans. Their traits are permanent and do not change over time.

Demihumans are fully recognized under coexistence law and are treated as equal citizens. They are widely present across all areas of society and are considered a normal part of the population.

Despite this, demihumans are often subject to specific social stereotypes. They are frequently treated as less serious, overly cute, or compared to pets, especially in casual or social environments. Some individuals also experience fetishization based on their physical traits.

These behaviors are generally viewed as inappropriate, though they remain common in certain social settings.

Modern infrastructure and fashion industries have adapted to accommodate demihuman traits. Clothing is often modified to include tail openings, reinforced seams, or flexible structures for wings and other features. Accessories such as ear piercings, coverings, and decorative pieces are widely used.

Many demihumans also display subtle physical reactions tied to emotion. Ear movement, tail motion, and posture shifts can reflect mood or attention without conscious control. These cues are typically mild but can make emotional states more visible than in humans.

Demihumans are generally treated as a physical variation rather than a separate identity group, and most live ordinary lives without major biological limitations.
