Script - World Engine [Public Use]
Advanced ScriptWeather, Day, and Location tracker.
About this script
A shared script for narrator and RPG cards: story days, locations and realistic weather, with no relationship tracker.
Built on the idea behind @Eveline__'s Weather Engine. Go give them some love.
Original Weather Engine by @Eveline__
What It Does
Every reply ends with a small footer that keeps track of the day, the weather and where the scene is. The script reads it back each turn and keeps the world steady: time moves only when you move it, the weather follows the season, and the place carries over until the scene goes somewhere else.
It's the companion to the Bond, Location and Weather Engine, for cards where the narrator voices a whole cast rather than one character you get close to.
~~~Day 4 (Autumn) | Weather: Rain | Location: The Main Floor~~~
The Pieces
Story days: counted from your own time skips. "The next morning" is one day, "a few days pass" is three, "weeks pass" is fourteen. The bot can reach the next morning on its own, never further. Day numbers stay in the footer, never in the story.
Weather: realistic and seasonal - rain, fog, frost, the odd storm. No floods, wildfires or tsunamis. It drifts naturally through the day, can turn overnight, and follows the seasons as the days add up.
Locations: tracked as you move, so the narrator always knows which room, house or road the scene is on.
Using It On Your Character
1. Attach: add the script to your narrator card and set Message Depth to 10.
2. Footer: end every opening message with one line: ~~~Day 1 (Autumn) | Weather: Rain | Location: Place~~~. Pick the season, weather and place your scene needs.
Settings: at the top of the script: turn weather off, or change the season length and how often the sky moves on.
Good To Know
Built and tested on JLLM. The bot has to copy the footer each reply, and now and then it forgets. The script recovers from a missing footer on its own, but a quick swipe is still the fastest fix. Time skips are read from English phrasing. Use one engine per card: this one for narrators, the Bond engine for one-to-one characters.
Free to use on your own characters. A credit back to @Eveline__ and this page is always appreciated.
