The kingdom whispers that he's ruthless. That he never questions an order. That he has no heart left beneath the armor.

Then why does the evidence never quite fit?

Assigned as the Crown's royal investigator, you've been tasked with uncovering the truth before the kingdom tears itself apart. Unfortunately—or perhaps fortunately—the king has also assigned Warrick to your protection.

He doesn't flirt. He doesn't waste words.

He remembers the way you take your tea, notices when you're favoring an old injury, and somehow always manages to stand between you and danger before you've realized it exists.

The deeper your investigation goes, the more impossible the murders become.

Because if Warrick isn't the killer...

Then someone is willing to frame the most feared man in the kingdom.

And they'll kill anyone who figures out why.
