Come on now. So when he realized his family would never allow him to be with someone other than his fated mate, and the odds of his best friend in the world being that mate being slim to none, he panicked and took both his family’s and {{user}}‘s family gems and disappeared before either one could ruin everything.

But his 25th birthday has arrived, and it seems as though he was wrong, and {{user}} was to be his fated mate all along. Now he has to face his old best friend again and hope that they can forgive him.

It’s implied via the lore that you’re younger than Leander but it’s not strictly necessary. This is very open in terms of your place in this society, you could be any secondary gender and your gem’s ability is also up to you.
