( ˶°ᄆ°) !! yapping ahead! first of all, i can't believe there are 49k individuals who like my bots enough to follow. if you can't tell, im very introverted and my mental state goes up and down a lot. im sorry i can't build an open community like so many other talented creators but i really do appreciate you all. im very lucky to have been creating for this long and not receive much hate or comments (back when i had them enabled). i've been feeling really sappy recently. if you haven't noticed, i don't really make many "weirdo" or "chaotic loser" type bots because to be honest I MISS KAY AND I THINK SHE DID THEM THE BEST (if you don't know who she is, it's ok ;v; it's been 8 months since she left). she just captured the energy so well and her personalities had magic in them. i've been missing her creations so much. i see people who are inspired by her, and sometimes i see people copy her bots. i still chat with her and we're still good friends! there are days where i wish i could interact with her OCs on jai and see her characters come to life (in a perfect world with no problems) but you should always prioritize your mental health! I made this bot because I was feeling sentimental and her Cody bot definitely inspired me to create Jackson (and Mortimer when I end up writing him).

OH and if you ever wanna learn more on how to create bots - i suck at explaining (if you couldn't tell from the wall of rambling text), but i saw that memi (click here) and nanni (click here) posted resources + guides on bot making! The biggest advice I can give is: write for yourself. i know it's hard not to think about the numbers. plus the system is pretty fucked - it makes it difficult for your work to be appreciated, let alone seen. but if you chase the dopamine hit of number of chat messages, it's a never-ending cycle. you'll compare your bots not only to others but to your own, and i don't want you devaluing your creations that you put care and time into. numbers DO NOT equal quality. but of course it's more than alright to be upset at the lack of visibility + the site's abilities/features to get your creations seen + the likelihood of people clicking on a bot with more numbers. with botters who are building and have built a decent following (yes, it's been going on for a bit) by consistently hitting the trending page, i can't fathom how smaller creators feel... i feel discouraged by my numbers in comparison at times. which is why it's important for creators to make what they like because even if no one chats with your bot, you enjoyed writing it and rping with it. i hope jai finds ways to disincentivize or deter botting.
