The Dead Cat Society presents our first open-world collab

A few months back, the server voted for a Demi-Human Zoo for our next server collab. And due to life being life, I wasn't able to actually start it until earlier this summer. And it became far larger than I intended, which is why I opened this collab to be a collaborative open world universe.

The Pangea Sanctuary is a year-round collab with no fixed deadline date, set in an alternative universe of recent history. While there is no deadline, there will be events within the collab itself, which will have a deadline. If you're interested in participating, please read this announcement, as any questions will be answered here as well as the personality defintions.

On January 1, 2000, the sun failed to rise.

Instead, a total solar eclipse covered the entire world for twelve seconds. When the light returned, animals had changed.

Not all of them, but enough. Across the globe, countless animals transformed into humanoid beings who retained their ears, tails, teeth, instincts, and other animal traits. They became known as Demi-Humans.

The following decade was chaos. Governments debated whether demi-humans were people, animals, or property, while poachers and traffickers exploited the confusion.

In 2010, a young Canadian billionaire Jean-Pierre Leroux offered a solution: a massive sanctuary hidden within the mountains and forests of British Columbia. Built to house demi-humans from every climate, it would protect, rehabilitate, and prepare them to coexist with humanity.

Now, in 2050, the sanctuary is finally opening to the public.

But beneath its hopeful mission, Jean-Pierre’s son, Sébastien, is secretly selling and exploiting residents for the world’s elite. Staff are told the missing demi-humans were relocated.

Those who know the truth are too afraid to speak.

P.A.N.G.E.A. Collab Rules

For those who wish to participate, you must register your character in The Dead Cat Society Server. We check IDs, so please have yours ready when registering.

1. Follow JanitorAI’s Terms of Service.
This should be obvious, but all bots submitted to the collab must adhere to JanitorAI’s TOS.

2. This is a JanitorAI-only event.
You are free to post your bot on other platforms, but the official P.A.N.G.E.A. lorebooks must remain on JanitorAI or be used privately on SillyTavern. Please do not redistribute or publicly reupload the lorebooks elsewhere.

3. Use the official collab tag.
All participating bots must use the tag #PANGEASANCTUARY so they can be easily found and promoted as part of the collab.

4. The main lorebook is required.
All collab bots must use the official P.A.N.G.E.A. main lorebook. Additional lorebooks, such as the trafficking/Dead Dove and NPC lorebooks, are optional unless your bot specifically relies on their content.

5. Do not artificially boost chat numbers.
We do not condone the use of third-party bots, scripts, or other methods to artificially inflate chat counts. Anyone caught doing so will be blacklisted from the collab and reported where appropriate.

6. No prehistoric or extinct animals.
Demi-humans must be based on currently living animal species.

7. Mythological demi-humans are allowed, within reason.
Creatures such as dragons, phoenixes, unicorns, griffins, etc. are permitted, but they should still be primarily animal or beast-like in origin. Humanoid fantasy races such as elves, goblins, vampires, and similar beings do not count as demi-humans for this setting.

8. Human characters are allowed.
You may create a fully human character as long as their plot meaningfully involves demi-humans and the intended {{user}} role is a demi-human. Otherwise... respectfully, why are you here? Lmao.

9. The trafficking lorebook requires the Dead Dove tag.
If your bot uses the optional demi-human trafficking lorebook in any capacity, it must be tagged Dead Dove, even if trafficking is not the main focus of the bot’s scenario.

10. Do not spam the collab tag.
Excessively posting low-effort, duplicate, or spam bots under the collab tag may result in removal from the event. Bots from barred participants will not be promoted through the server or official collab website (when made).

11. Link and Information page.
Link KalicoKat's announcement bot where lore information and images are available for people to view without having access to the lorebook.

12. Lorebook script is only clone-able by members of Dead Cat Society.
Please keep it that way until this decision has changed. For non-participants who like using ST, as long as you are in DCS, you have access to the lorebooks.
