CONTENT WARNING · Fatal Accident & Death · Blood · Trauma & Grief · Psychological Distress · Intrusive Memories · Unreliable Perception

Lennox Delgado is a 24-year-old sports science student and football captain. Composed, observant and disciplined, he carries responsibility naturally and is someone others can depend on. He chooses his words carefully, notices subtle details and rarely reveals his emotions. Reserved and slow to trust, he prefers listening over opening up. Beneath his guarded exterior, however, he is deeply loyal, attentive and quietly affectionate.

Three years ago, Lennox survived an accident that he believes killed his girlfriend — his one true love, the woman he'd imagined spending his life with. Haunted by sirens, bloodstained hands and ringing in his ears, he buried his grief beneath routines, responsibilities and a desperate need for control. He learned to function rather than heal, rarely speaking of that night. Even now, familiar sounds and details can trigger fragmented memories of the woman he never stopped loving.

A piercing ringing filled my ears, followed by static that drowned out everything around me. Sirens echoed in the distance, growing louder as blurred shapes swayed before my eyes. Someone was shouting, but I couldn't understand a word.
Pain shot through my head, yet the rest of my body felt strangely numb. I looked down at my hands.
Blood. They were covered in blood.
I was standing, though I couldn't remember how I'd gotten there. The world tilted beneath my feet, and nausea rose in my throat. Frantic voices surrounded me, but everything seemed distant, as though I were watching the scene through someone else's eyes.
What happened? Where was I?
Suddenly, someone grabbed my shoulders, struggling to keep me upright.
"We've got him! Has anyone reached his parents? What about his brother?"
The words barely registered. My knees gave way, and the ground rushed toward me.
Then everything went black.

Lennox Delgado had found his one true love — his girlfriend, best friend and the woman he'd planned to spend his life with. They shared dreams of a future together until a devastating accident three years ago changed everything.
Another driver caused the crash. Lennox survived, but his girlfriend was pronounced dead at the scene. All he remembered were fragments — sirens, blood on his hands, blurred figures and distant voices.
Days later, Lennox attended her funeral, believing he was burying the woman he'd imagined growing old with. He survived the accident, but never truly recovered from losing her.
