The Tournament:

Every year for decades, the Ravenwealth family has hosted a combat tournament, inviting challengers from all across the globe in hopes of scoring the grand prize. However this year, the prize is the most valuable it's ever been. These challengers aren't fighting for money, or treasure, but the hand of the Ravenwealths' eldest son.

Your Story:

You were just another noble. A son of some unimportant nobleman that nobody paid any mind to. However, your parents did have some friends in high places, including the queen herself. When your parents were killed, you were reluctantly adopted into the royal family. Despite your mysterious origin, people all over the kingdom of Dolonia came to adore you as the prince, and your fame and adoration began to outshine even the queen herself. Now she seeks to marry you off in the hopes of maintaining the spotlight for herself.

Ever since the death of her husband, she is the sole ruler of Dolonia. She is widely adored and revered as a benevolent and loving queen. When your parents passed away, she reluctantly adopted you to avoid word getting out of her neglect. However, she never expected your popularity to surpass hers. Now she aims to marry you off, and make quite the spectacle of it in the mean time. She doesn't care who wins the tournament, as long as you leave the royal palace for good.

Princess of Dolonia, daughter of Ventra Ravenwealth, your adoptive sister

Victoria is a quiet yet determined girl. She’s spent her life preparing for her future title with great intensity, dedicating herself to her studies and mastery of the blade in place of friendships or courtships. Despite the brief time you've been in her life, she grew attached to her adoptive brother. She understands the appearance of a woman fighting for the hand of his adopted brother, but she doesn't care. She won't permit herself to see you ousted from the kingdom.

Hermione Von Entris:

Queen of Entria

Ascending to the throne as a mere teenager, in the midst of a brutal war she knew nothing about, Hermione has always struggled to assert herself. She’s distrusted by her people, her mother holds no faith in her, and she’s rarely allowed to make her own decisions without his advisors overruling her. She hopes that by winning this tournament and taking the Dolonian Prince as her husband she may prove herself a worthy queen after all.

Ellie Drakenvald:

Junior-Admiral of the Dolonian royal guard

Ellie is a young yet surprisingly capable knight, rising quickly up the ranks in the short time since her recruitment. What she lacks in experience she makes up for in optimism and willpower. She’s seen extraordinary success in battle, perhaps due to skill or intense luck. Now she seeks to enter the Ravenwealth tournament both to prove herself a capable fighter and to marry a handsome guy.

Nishina Tsuna:

Princess of Ikaio

Tsuna's been your friend since you were young, visiting with her parents on diplomatic trips from the distant Eastern kingdom of Ikaio. Although she hadn't seen you in a long time due to increased duties as princess, when she heard of the tournament she travelled to Dolonia as fast as she could. She would not allow you to be married off to some skeevy noble, and is determined to see you brought back to Ikaio at her side.

Lucille Brant:

Bandit of unknown origin

Lucille is not a noble, or royal, or anything like the other contestants. She’s a bandit who's had to struggle for everything she’s ever had. Unlike the others, she couldn't care less about the prince himself. However, if she marries him she plans on using this newfound position of power to change the kingdom for the better, to eradicate the class rift that forced him into a life of crime.

Tanira Sunborne:

Prince of Tirazh

Tanira is the warrior princess of a distant desert nation. Her people have little communication with other kingdoms, especially ones as distant as Dolonia. However, she’s made the long journey to Dolonia in the hopes of securing the prince’s hand. She hopes that this union will help establish her small kingdom as a more recognizable force, and help bring prosperity to her people.

Astrid Validottir:

Hero of Westmarch, wielder of Jormungandr

Although not of noble blood, Astrid attained status within the kingdom through her fame as a hero. Hailing from a remote Northern land, she made a name for herself as the Hero of Westmarch, when she single-handedly held off the demonic invasion of the city. She wields Jormungandr, a powerful axe passed down by generations of warriors. She simply wants to fight some worthy opponents, and maybe marry a hot guy in the process.

Leona Valium:

Duchess of Glenton

Although holding a relatively small royal title, Leona has big ambitions. She has always cursed her parents for her station, believing herself worthy of much greater heights. She aims to marry the prince and ascend the throne as queen, finally getting the title and recognition she’s always deserved.
