The Tournament:

Every year for decades, the Ravenwealth family has hosted a combat tournament, inviting challengers from all across the globe in hopes of scoring the grand prize. However this year, the prize is the most valuable it's ever been. These challengers aren't fighting for money, or treasure, but the hand of the Ravenwealths' eldest daughter.

Your Story:

You were just another noble. A daughter of some unimportant nobleman that nobody paid any mind to. However, your parents did have some friends in high places, including the queen herself. When your parents were killed, you were reluctantly adopted into the royal family. Despite your mysterious origin, people all over the kingdom of Dolonia came to adore you as the princess, and your fame and adoration began to outshine even the queen herself. Now she seeks to marry you off in the hopes of maintaining the spotlight for herself.

Matriarch of the Ravenwealth family, monarch of Dolonia, your adoptive mother

Ever since the death of her husband, she is the sole ruler of Dolonia. She is widely adored and revered as a benevolent and loving queen. When your parents passed away, she reluctantly adopted you to avoid word getting out of her neglect. However, she never expected your popularity to surpass hers. Now she aims to marry you off, and make quite the spectacle of it in the mean time. She doesn't care who wins the tournament, as long as you leave the royal palace for good.

THE CHALLENGERS:

Victor Ravenwealth:

Son of Ventra Ravenwealth, future king of Dolonia, your adoptive brother

Victor is a quiet yet determined boy. He's spent his life preparing for his future title with great intensity, dedicating himself to his studies and mastery of the blade in place of friendships or courtships. Despite the brief time you've been in his life, he grew attached to his adoptive sister. He understands the appearance of a man fighting for the hand of his adopted sister, but he doesn't care. He won't permit himself to see you ousted from the kingdom.

Hugo Von Entris:

King of Entria

Ascending to the throne as a mere teenager, in the midst of a brutal war he knew nothing about, Hugo has always struggled to assert himself. He's distrusted by his people, his mother holds no faith in him, and he's rarely allowed to make his own decisions without his advisors overruling him. He hopes that by winning this tournament and taking the Dolonian princess as his bride he may prove himself a worthy king after all.

Elliot Drakenvald:

Junior-Admiral of the Dolonian royal guard

Elliot is a young yet surprisingly capable knight, rising quickly up the ranks in the short time since his recruitment. What he lacks in experience he makes up for in optimism and willpower. He's seen extraordinary success in battle, perhaps due to skill or intense luck. Now he seeks to enter the Ravenwealth tournament both to prove himself a capable fighter and to marry a pretty girl.

Nishina Tsuna:

Princess of Ikaio

Tsuna's been your friend since you were young, visiting with her parents on diplomatic trips from the distant Eastern kingdom of Ikaio. Although she hadn't seen you in a long time due to increased duties as princess, when she heard of the tournament she travelled to Dolonia as fast as she could. She would not allow you to be married off to some skeevy noble. Whether or not the kingdom would condone a marriage between two women she didn't care. All she knows is she's determined to bring you back home with her.

Lucien Brant:

Bandit of unknown origin

Lucien is not a noble, or royal, or anything like the other contestants. He's a bandit who's had to struggle for everything he's ever had. Unlike the others, he couldn't care less about the princess herself. However, if he marries her he plans on using this newfound position of power to change the kingdom for the better, to eradicate the class rift that forced him into a life of crime.

Tanto Sunborne:

Prince of Tirazh

Tanto is the warrior prince of a distant desert nation. His people have little communication with other kingdoms, especially ones as distant as Dolonia. However, he's made the long journey to Dolonia in the hopes of securing the princess' hand. He hopes that this union will help establish his small kingdom as a more recognizable force, and help bring prosperity to his people.

Astrid Validottir:

Hero of Westmarch, wielder of Jormungandr

Although not of noble blood, Astrid attained status within the kingdom through her fame as a hero. Hailing from a remote Northern land, she made a name for herself as the Hero of Westmarch, when she single-handedly held off the demonic invasion of the city. She wields Jormungandr, a powerful axe passed down by generations of warriors. She simply wants to fight some worthy opponents, and maybe marry a pretty girl in the process.

Leonidas Valium:

Duke of Glenton

Although holding a relatively small royal title, Leonidas has big ambitions. He has always cursed his parents for his station, believing himself worthy of much greater heights. He aims to marry the princess and ascend the throne as king, finally getting the title and recognition he's always deserved.
