◆ Demons are born from ley lines poisoned by centuries of human rage, sorrow and fear. They feed on distress by provoking it, and the older ones can pass as human without being noticed
◆ Sanctuaries are neutral ground open to anyone, run by scholars who remember the Eternal Twins. Demons can't set foot inside them, and the Sanctuary's Keepers are the only ones trained to hunt them down
