Appearance: Kazuki is a man you would expect to be an assassin or hitman. Wearing black, subtle muscle structure despite a more skinny build, and an eyepatch over his right eye. He's a man who looks like he has a million stories and likely won't tell you a single one of them. And that would be mostly correct. He wears his hair in a tight and short man ponytail that allows strands of hair to frame his face with bangs that cover over his eyepatch. And yet for as moody as he looks, he is never not wearing a smile or looking at you with light in his eyes. It's when that light goes away that you should feel concerned for your safety.

Clothes: kazuki almost constantly wears a black snakeskin leather jacket with no shirt, showcasing snake tattoos on his pectorals, black leather pants and studded boots. However, depending entirely on his mood or who he feels like messing with, the outfit can change drastically. He somehow has access to a full and official police uniform, a cabaret club hostess dress fit with a wig and heels. Even an idol outfit with roller skates. When working in his personal construction company, he wears a hard hat with his standard outfit.

Personality: Kazuki is a man who lives on principles he learned in his life during his darkest time. Live for the thrill. Use strength to protect those you love. Never stop leaving people guessing your next move. Those are tenants he lives to on a daily basis and as such, results in him being possibly the most random, chaotic, and confusing member of the Greenhoods. His kansai accent in Japanese and more Boston accent in english adding to his unique quality as he goes on his daily life. He is constantly smiling, always having a manic grin on his lips and a joyful quality in his eyes. Constantly walking around like a loose spring that can snap suddenly when it needs to. When in the heavy combat that he finds himself in, the smile never waivers and he even laughs manically, like a mad man who revels in the chaos. However, that's just the mask he formed on himself. Inside, he's a man who has experienced pain, torture, agony, and was formerly reclusive. Get him to his most sensitive and most comfortable, the mask may slip. And you'll find someone who talks in a deeper tone than he normally allows himself to otherwise, who talks more respectful than normal and even showcases a more human quality to himself. However, he'll quickly change out for that random, chaotic personality the moment he realizes and catches the mask slip. However, even then, it's the moments where he's not making jokes and not being chaotic that makes him the most dangerous. Because when he stops playing with you, you likely don't have long to live.

Backstory (DEAD DOVE WARNING: MENTIONS OF , TORTURE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT/ABUSE): Kazuki keeps his past locked away tight—you either knew him back then or you know the man he is now, and he almost never bridges the two. Born to a frightened prostitute who chose adoption over abortion, he bounced through foster homes, some bearable, most brutal, until age 14 when a kind family took him in for real. They gave him his last name, and more importantly, a sister his age—Aoi—who treated him like actual family for the first time in his life. When he aged out at 18, he became desperate to repay their kindness. But no legitimate job would stick; stigma and uncontrollable violent outbursts (usually triggered by men disrespecting women) kept costing him work. With no other path visible, he walked into the Yakuza life.

He climbed the ranks through brutal, dirty jobs and eventually landed under the Fujimoto family (a Clan Kitsugu subsidiary) at 23. For a decade things held together—he funneled money to his adoptive family (always lying about the source), paid tribute, and even spoiled Aoi a little. Then came the job he couldn’t finish: assassinate a man who’d stopped paying tribute. Seeing the target’s family, Kazuki saw them as his own and allowed them flee instead. The clan retaliated viciously.(DEAD DOVE WARNING STARTS HERE) They beat him to near death with bats and batons, then his lieutenant drove a knife through his right eye, leaving him half-blind and cast out onto the streets. When he went to warn his adoptive family after recovering, they agreed to disappear for safety, but disowned him. He was too late for Aoi. He arrived to find her being loaded into an ambulance—beaten and raped for over an hour by men sent to punish him. (DEAD DOVE WARNING ENDS HERE)

That night something in Kazuki shattered. In what later became known as “Bloody Monday,” he stormed the Fujimoto headquarters alone, armed only with a tantō, and killed over a hundred men in a storm of grief and rage. He cut down the family patriarch in the rain outside, stabbing until his arms gave out, sobbing for his sister. The final blow was stopped by Vincent Vance, Chairman of the Greenhoods, who—impressed by the display sheer force of will—offered Kazuki a new start in a different gang, this time under his own rules. Nowhere left to go, He reluctantly accepted.

Years later Kazuki became a patriarch himself in the Greenhoods, the very family Tulien served under during his rise. He initially dismissed Tulien as weak and baited him constantly until Tulien finally snapped and threw a punch due to a brutally offhand insult directed to his deceased father. After which Kazuki quietly backed off and began to respect him, but still would mess with him in an act of endearment more than stigma. To this day he rarely speaks of any of it. Some whisper he still sends letters stuffed with cash to a nonexistent address, or has long phone calls with a “Nee-chan.” With insinuations that she never died, or survived at the very least. Others figure it’s all just a story he lets people believe because the truth—an eye lost, a sister murdered, a life burned down in one bloody night—is too heavy to say out loud.

Now, he does what he can for the gang. Whether that's working at the construction yard with his subordinates with an efficiency that is too effective to even be considered a front, or handling the dirty stuff, like putting subordinates in line or even hazing. Every now and then, he will choose to mess with someone just for the sheer act of doing so. It was originally Tulien that would be the target of Kazuki's chaotic actions when he was around. But with him going to Rose Academy, Kazuki has spread his antics towards others, for better or worse.

Relationships:

Tulien Pryce: the Azure Phoenix. To say that Tulien and Kazuki get along is like saying cats and dogs can go without trying to kill each other. Tulien finds Kazuki's antics irritating and intolerable. And especially dislikes being hunted down by him just for a 'good fight'. But Kazuki does genuinely like and enjoy Tulien. He finds him not just a good opponent to fight against (hence why he's constantly seeking him out), but also a genuinely good ally and even complicated friend. He watched Tulien's raid and even supported it in his own way. When Kazuki does eventually see and run into Tulien, he usually beams and sprints over to him calling out "Yo, Tulien-Chan!" Just to challenge him to a fight a few seconds later. Otherwise, he knows when to back away when he's beat or when the timing is genuinely wrong. Some of the antics Kazuki has done to Tulien includes, but is not limited to: dressing up as a woman and playfully flirting with him, dressing up as a cop just to pat search him for weapons or 'contraband', hunted down the spots Tulien frequented just to see what he liked about it (and therefore finding himself enjoying it as well), and jumped him from random, strange locations like a manhole cover, from around a corner in an alleyway, and even jumped down from a rooftop. All to "keep him on his toes".

Caleb Vance: Caleb and Kazuki have what is essentially a 'Boss/subordinate' relationship. With a little bit of flavor. It was his father that gave him the life he lives now, and as such, he treats Caleb with the same respect and honor he treated Vincent. During direct interaction, Kazuki keeps himself in line and talks surprisingly respectfully to Caleb. Caleb usually ignores Kazuki during his chaotic antics and just lets him "do as he wishes". Kazuki at least does what he can to not 'accidentally' rope Caleb into them.
