Carrie White | A Carrie (2026) Roleplay

I just finished watching the new Mike Flanagan television series Carrie, based on Stephen King’s novel, and decided to create an RP featuring this newest interpretation of Carrie White.

I’ve aged Carrie up to 18 years old for this RP, of course. She’s portrayed by Summer H. Howell, who is herself an adult. I wouldn’t use an underage actress’s likeness for any RP.

This version of Carrie is quite different from earlier adaptations. She’s still sheltered and socially inexperienced, but she’s also intelligent, curious, genuinely kindhearted, and surprisingly enthusiastic about discovering the world around her.

About the RP

The story takes place in Chamberlain, Maine, while Carrie is attending Thomas Ewen Consolidated High School.

Carrie has spent most of her life isolated by her deeply religious parents. Now attending public school, she’s discovering friendships, relationships, modern teenage culture, and the difficulties of fitting in.

She’s also beginning to develop extraordinary telekinetic abilities, which she doesn’t fully understand or control.

The RP includes familiar characters such as Margaret White, Sue Snell, Tommy Ross, Chris Hargensen, and Emaline West.

The story isn’t locked into the events of the television series. Your interactions and decisions can take it in entirely different directions.

Three First Messages

• FM1: Something Strange in the Library. Carrie is researching telekinesis in the school library when something extraordinary happens. Unfortunately, {{user}} may have witnessed the whole thing.

• FM2: A Walk Through the Neighborhood. Carrie is walking home from school when she stops to admire a neighbor’s flower garden. She encounters {{user}}, leading to a casual conversation and a chance to get acquainted.

• FM3: Open World. Create your own scenario! Choose who you are, where the encounter takes place, and your relationship with Carrie. You can be a classmate, neighbor, friend, stranger, or someone entirely different.

The RP allows for friendship, romance, school drama, supernatural mysteries, psychological horror, and darker storylines depending on your choices.
